Sex & Nudity

  • One of Eric Idle's characters briefly compares American beer to making love in a canoe.
  • While singing the "Sit on My Face" song, the men wear long aprons. At the end of the song, they walk off stage, revealing that they are not wearing anything under the aprons, and their rear ends are visible. Done for comedic effect.
  • The opening song, "Sit on My Face" is about the 69 sexual position, however the lyrics are so discreet that children are unlikely to understand the sexual undertones.
  • A woman asks a man if he wants a "blowjob". There is no further emphasis on this reference.
  • Male characters strip down to reveal female bondage-style gear under their clothes. No real nudity though.

Violence & Gore

  • A few instances of over-the-top violence that is obviously fake.
  • A man suspended from a cable is shot with a shotgun, and obviously fake innards spill out afterwards.
  • A man is blown up on stage, though it is clearly for comic effect. He returns later and is similarly "blown up" again.
  • A woman is knocked unconscious by a giant hammer at the end of a sketch, though again, obviously played for comic effect and not gory or violent at all.

Profanity

  • Contains one use of "cunt" and three uses of "fuck".
  • Also contains occasional use of milder terms (e.g. "bitch", "piss" etc), and a song which satirises the use of ethnic slurs (e.g. "nigger", "kraut" etc).

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One of Eric Idle's characters briefly compares American beer to making love in a canoe.
  • A character yells to someone in the audience that "you're not supposed to be smoking that!" which is presumably a reference to marijuana, though it is never mentioned again after this one reference.
