Manuel Summers' comical antology of short tales concerning on the habitual scenes about undercover-camera
ma-cortes10 July 2019
A diverting but absurd antology of brief sketches dealing with the classic jokes about the hidden-camera . Silly and embarrassing film about ordinay hidden camera with a lot of sketches middlingly directed by Manuel Summers . A ridiculous as well as hilarious antology of short tales concerning on the regular scenes about undercover-camera . Non-sense and failed movie in which false priests fighting among them , alcoholic men , actors disguised as cops , disabled people , cheat men , tricksters , fake crippled person , and other individual ones posing as doctors or disguising as soldiers or other outlandish roles, all of them deceive , trick and cheat ingenuous people showing the human innocence , goodness , solidarity and badness , at times . It is a disconcerting film with plenty of humor , satire , social customs and many other things . Here there are sketches about a dwarf at a phonebooth being help by deceived people , a drunk driving , handicapped people , some false doctors undergoing a check-up to innocent and wary people , soldiers carrying out maneuvers with gullible walkers , an almost-naked couple being photographed by naive person , a very high urinary that impedes urinate , among others . And the best of all them : a lioness at a restroom and the surprising faces of the incautious men suddenly appearing at the place . ¨To er mundo é güeno¨ belongs to a trilogy formed by ¨To er mundo é... mejó!¨ and ¨To er mundo é... ¡demasiao!¨or also titled España Divertida 1 and 2 and 3 , all of them written , produced and directed by Manuel Summers supported by his brother Guillermo Summers and intervention by some guests as the champion boxer Dun Dun Pacheco , as well as Manuel Summers himself impersonating a navy captain who dupes an easily deceived pedestrian . These were his last works that were mediocre , repeated and copying the offbeat ideas from foreign countries , especially Japan . In spite of its idiotic premise these films achieved successes at the Spanish box-office . Rating : 4/10 . Below average .

The picture was regularly directed by Manuel Summers, and with no originality . Father of David Summers Rodríguez leading singer of Pop group Hombres G and of Cheyenne Summers, Spanish voice actress, and brother of journalist Guillermo Summers, was born in Seville and later made adoptive son of Lepe, Huelva . His family originated from England. He died in Sevilla on 12 June 1993 aged 58 from a colorectal cancer . Manuel was a comic books humorist who publicized in ¨Pueblo¨ diary and on magazines as ¨Hermano Lobo¨and ¨La Codorniz¨. He was a comedian actor and an acceptable filmmaker . He realized several movies including social critical which tended not to be very well received by the censor . Manuel belonged to a Spanish period called ¨New Spanish cinema¨ of the 60s directed by students of the ¨Official Academy of Cine¨ or Escuela Oficial De Cinematografia . These films contained good stories that were beset by difficulties with the censors caused by a relentless critical to Catholic religion , sour urban or rural conventionality and extreme religious practices . His movies contain interesting as well as fun scripts by Manuel Summers himself , based on his own childhood experiences , as there appear his Madrid house , school , streets , O.J.E. summer camps , personal games and Tebeos or comic books about ¨El Guerrero Del Antifaz¨ , among others . In addition to film work, Summers was a popular cartoonist whose work was published widely in Spanish newspapers and magazines , being brother of Guillermo Summers and usual collaborator to him . His successful first film being ¨Del Rosa Al Amarillo¨ or "From Pink to Yellow" , it was followed by personal works wasted by excessive jokes as ¨El Juego De La Oca¨(65) . His first films were well considered in the ¨New Spanish Cinema¨ of the sixties and Summers was deemed to be the great hope of the Spaniard cinematic ; however , being subsequently frustrated . Summers was really interested in juvenile love stories and extreme humor . In his early and best first films , Summers developed sour critics to selfish villagers and repressed characters , coerced by social conventionalism , gossip and hypocrisy . He had a big flop titled ¨Juguetes Rotos¨ (66) . And La niña de luto (1964) that entered into the 1964 Cannes Film Festival. Summers , then , made two typical Spanish comedies with Alfredo Landa : ¨No Somos De Piedra¨(67) and ¨Porque Te Engaña Tu Marido¨ (68) . He , subsequently , directed teenager films as ¨Adiós Ciqueña Adios¨ (71) , ¨El Niño Es Nuestro¨(73) that achieved big hit and some of them were censored as ¨Ya Soy Mujer¨(75) , ¨Mi Primer Pecado¨ and ¨Me Hace Falta Un Bigote¨ , also concerning about romances among boys during the post-war in Madrid . And Angeles gordos (1980) a co-production with United States filmed in New York City. And , subsequently ,making fake documentary , such as : ¨To er Mundo e Gueno ¨ , ¨To Er Mundo E Mejo¨ , ¨To Er Mundo e Demasiao¨ and ¨Biblia En Pasta¨ (85) . He finishes his career directing his son David Summers , a known singer leader of the band ¨Hombres G¨ in commercial titles as ¨Sufre Mamon¨(87) ,¨and ¨Sueltate El Pelo¨(88) . Manuel Summers also developed a prolific career acting , many of them in secondary roles , such as : The Art of Living (1965) , Aunque la hormona se vista de seda by Vicente Escrivá (1971), Black story , La historia negra de Peter P. by Pedro Lazaga (1971) , Vente a Alemania, Pepe, by Pedro Lazaga (1971) , Polvo eres..., by Vicente Escrivá (1974) , De profesión: polígamo, by Angelino Fons (1975), Me hace falta un bigote by Manuel Summers himself , and several others .
