- Beasley: Come now, it was a valiant effort. Well, she did come through for him, didn't she? But to get him to perform a great sacrifice, well that was unrealistic, wasn't it? Alright, let's drop the act. He wouldn't flood the world. I mean, where would everybody go? Do you suppose he'd give them to me?
- Charlie: I told you, he's going to bring everyone up. He's going to end life. It'll be like Man never existed, becuase no one will be here to remember him.
- [Ruth starts to lead him away, but he shakes her off and turns back to Beasley]
- Charlie: Except you.
- [he walks away]
- Charlie: [picks up a copy of "The Sonnets of William Shakespeare" that is mysteriously sitting on the ground, then he calls out to Zack] Hey. Can you spare a cigarette?
- Zack: I don't smoke.
- Charlie: Do you read?
- [he tosses the book to Zack and flourishes his cap]
- Zack: Do I know you?
- Charlie: Of course you do.
- Debbie: [she and Zack share a look at the book and then each other, but when they look up, Charlie is gone] Where'd he go?
- Zack: I don't know. God this has been a crazy week.
- Debbie: Sure has.
- Oscar: Don'tcha think he'd be gone by now?
- Stuart: What, I pay you to think?
- Oscar: You know boss, I too have feelings.
- Stuart: I too have feelings?: What are you doing, going to college now, huh? Huh?
- [Grabs cheek and pulls his face toward him, then shoves him away]
- Stuart: How does that feel?
- Oscar: It hurts.
- Stuart: You're right, you got feelings.
- Ron: [after faking being attacked while he checks Debbie's bedroom for Zack] Let me go, you impotent joke.
