Adult feature, is another slice of New York, known as Big sleaze
New York Nights is a sleazefest of a film, but it's fun sleaze. Supposedly a drama I guess, it's a series of stories, it's characters, associated with ones, in the next, and so on. Whether they're faded hot shot models, sleazy photographers, failed actresses, enigmatic and sexy authors, or egotistical rock singers, there is an too reality about em', not too different from real entertainers in the biz. It's quite an interesting insight really, open nudity and some sex aplus, among a lot of bitchiness, vindication and backstabbing. The prudish rock singer sounds great with some catchy rock songs (one I couldn't get out of my head), as well as getting ousted of a limo in the early dawn by a hottie, once at the top of her modelling game, who's hot to trot. Once she was doing an older photographer who likes to shoot very young models. His one latest teen finding (a girl) very up herself, is of such character accuracy of teen models, I've been witness to, in undertaking various acting courses I've done of past. This movie is no bull, but too, it's all too sleaziness is what brings it down. Featuring a cast of unknowns, except a gay party crasher on went onto become a two time Oscar nominee, who I won't reveal, it isn't badly acted. In one way it's comes off a sleazy soap, where instead of plot we have interconnected stories, with great character insight, but I guess too much of the movie went wandering off in a mire of sex and sleaze, most of it's characters, of who'm, you won't grow fond of. The sleaze is what ultimately discredited it, but still this is an adult feature who you should milk for what it's worth, and with the nudity and sex, there are worse ways you could spend on an arvo. Your choice.

Sexy scenes.
saintjust-513 May 2009
The movie, when originally was showed in cinema, in 1984, was the best in its style. The last scene, maybe the best of the movie, is with Corinne Alphen dancing using lingerie (a transparent robe) on her naked body, following the rhythm of the Rod Stewart's song "Passion". The best two sexy scenes of the movie are with Corinne Alphen, but one of them, the first one, when Corinne is in the limo with the rock star, in the DVD, is cut. The DVD is a pirate copy, it was made from a VHS. The image in the DVD is very poor. I hope this movie will be released soon in DVD using the master film, and digitally restored. This movie is available only in the pirate copy mentioned before: New Star Video, 2006, full screen. The company lies when write "Digitally remastered" or "Full length feature film", because, at least, one of the best scenes is cut, incomplete.

Late period coked-up sex-a-thon...not bad at all.
EyeAskance12 July 2008
This soft-erotic film was a late arrival in the era of cocaine-fueled sexual overplus. At the time of its release, the disco hot-tub swinger lifestyle was already quite passé, and the specter of AIDS had recently emerged to trammel everyone's lustful "modus vivendi". That being said, it's also one of the better films of its type, offering the viewer a suppositious keyhole peek into the extravagant sexual commerce of New York's high society. Presented as a string of vignettes, the film maps out a "dot to dot" series of carnal encounters...debutante seduces rocker, rocker beds journalist, journalist humps fashion photographer, photographer lays model, etcetera. These erotic episodes come in a variety of flavors, ranging from impulsive quickies to elaborately devised psychodramatic scenarios.

Wild action and bizarre kinks abound, just going to show you that really, REALLY hot sex is reserved for the very rich...and their "pets". A variably interesting movie with an attractive cast, I liked NEW YORK NIGHTS, and would recommend it as a "couples" film(or "triples"? Hey, whatever's in your price range).
