Possibly the best Stallone film apart from the Rocky series

Rambo films have been stereo typed as dumb action films blowing up things for nothing. While the first Rambo film can not be stereo typed to that level completely this does fall under the common judgement. However, this film has meaning and thats what I love, a film with meaning. It makes a powerful statement like the first Rambo about the Vietnam war.

Rambo is assigned to go into Vietnamese terotry to take photos of POW camps to see and prove if there is any there. Rambo disobeys orders and goes into rescue the American prisoners causing hell. But what we call hell he calls home.

Touching performance from Stallone as this series and the Rocky series, which are all written by Stallone himself are moving. Sentimental scenes that get to your heart such as his explanation of being expendable and not being cared about by anyone. A wonderful film mixed with all sorts of ideas. Rambo falls in love which as strange as it may seem fits perfect into the film.

The last of the great action films and like all films but this one especially, better than Star Wars.
