There an intense amount of violence, including gunfire and men shooting at and being shot by Rambo, torture by electrocution, explosions, and a Viet Cong general's body exploding on screen. Some bullet wounds are shown, and there are also some stabbings.

A supporting female character whom Rambo becomes involved with is shot and dies in his arms .

Contains profane references to God and Jesus. There are also other profanities sprinkled throughout. Perhaps one or two f-words.

The soldiers are seen smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol at times

The battle scenes and the scene of the man's body exploding are mildly intense. As is the torture scene.
