The only Pixar short that was never released with a Pixar film. Until it was reissued and theatrical re-released in theaters with Home on the Range (2004) on April 2, 2004.
Lumpy the Clown was Pixar's first organic character.
Easter Egg: Luxo Jr. sitting on a desk in the front of the store, a clock with Andre from André and Wally B. (1984), and the store's name Eben's Bikes is named after Eben Ostby, a modeler for this film.
When you first see inside the shop, opposite to the bikes there is from Bill Reeves and Alain Fournier's 1986 animation test, "Flags and Waves".
