Unlike their golden run on the big screen till phase 3, Marvel didn’t quite replicate its huge success on the small screen, with most of the Disney Plus MCU shows earning less-than-stellar reception. While fans have complained about MCU’s recent catalog being bloated following the abundance of TV shows, Marvel has also abandoned an overwhelming number of TV shows over the years.
This involves several renowned superheroes, including a Captain Britain show, which was greenlit long before the rise of Disney Plus and MCU TV shows.

Back in 2016, rumors regarding a Captain Britain show being in the early stages of development emerged. Poster artist Clara McAvoy claimed she was being paid to do a promo poster for it, assuring fans an official announcement might be heading our way in early 2017 or late 2016. Unfortunately, it never happened, leading many to speculate Marvel might have put the kibosh on it.

Werewolf by Night in Color premieres Friday, October 20, only on Disney+.
Now presented in vibrant color, Marvel Studios’ Werewolf by Night in Color takes place on a dark and somber night as a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader.
Marvel previews, “In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic—a...

Welcome to Sales to Astonish, a new column in association with comics retailer The Unreality Store, in which Matthew De Monti brings us news on comic sales and the general moves in the comic market over the past month or so!
July was definitely a DC month! Aside from a few Marvel key issues the large majority of back issues sold online during July were from the Distinguished Competition. Flash, Superman, Batman, Detective Comics and other core DC titles all sold well during the month as people looked to fill gaps in their collections from our available stock, which was largely from the 90s and 00s. Long before I started The Unreality Store I had thought that my core best sellers would be Spider-man, X-Men and Batman titles and that has largely been the case, but Flash and Star Wars comics are also great sellers as are titles like Punisher,...
