- Edward's appearance is mostly black with black leather, messy hair, pale face with a few scratch marks, and scissor blades for fingers. But he is harmless, gentle and likeable.
- The tone of the movie overall is melancholy and somewhat dark.

- Edward describes his visit to the salon with Joyce by saying "showing me the back room where she took all of her clothes off".
Violence & Gore
- Edward stabs Jim and falls out of a window to his death.
- Edward gets mad when he sees Jim by scratching the window curtain. Later, he is seen scratching the hallway walls as he storms into the bathroom. He is then seen looking at himself in the mirror scratching the bathroom walls.
- Jim shoots Edward while he and Kim dodges. Kim grabs his arm and shoots the ceiling which causes small bit of the ceiling to fall on Edward. He shoves Kim away. Jim kicks him and beats him with a stick a few times. Kim grabs a wooden stick and knocks him down and puts Edward's fingers on his neck as a threat. Seconds later, Jim slaps her and kicks her away. Edward stabs Jim and falls off his mansion. Jim is shown dead with minimal blood on his shirt.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Edward has a flashback where the inventor gives him real hands as a present but dies in front of him from natural causes before he can give him real hands.
- Edward gets tricked by Jim by locking him in his house as Jim and his friend including Kim escape. He struggles to get out. The police arrive and the doors become unlocked. He comes out of the house and is told to put his hands up so he does. The police think he is holding weapons and threatens him to shoot fire but is save by the neighbours. He then gets arrested.
- Edward gets tricked into robbery set up by Jim. He gets arrested.
- Edward gets mistreated by the entire neighbourhood after being tricked into robbery.
