Fun with Clint. No more no less.

Yeah, yeah. I know what you people most likely think about this film. I know the common opinion is that this movie sucks. But as Eastwood himself puts it in one of the Harry Callahan films: "Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one". I love Eastwood's work and I love this movie too. 8 out of 10 is what I gave to "The Rookie". Still, even I can admit that when I saw it for the first time I was very disappointed. I thought movie was pretty terrible and one of the worst films Clint himself has ever directed. It took me a while before I saw it for the second time and I just simply loved it!

I knew precisely what to expect and I was surprised to find out that in the second viewing I loved every minute of this crazy-ass thriller comedy. I didn't took it too seriously anymore. I know the fact that I'm a fanatic Eastwood-fan makes it lots of easier for me to enjoy this movie because (let's face the facts) this is a stupid film and it's lacking the profound meaning of any kind. So if you don't like the man (which makes you more or less my enemy, by the way) don't watch "The Rookie" but if you're with me in "Eastwood kicks ass -club", you can't help of loving "The Rookie" as much as I did.
