Sex & Nudity

  • At the beginning there is a cuckoo clock of a man kissing a woman's breast
  • It is said that a woman in a portrait danced naked in a town square and enslaved a minister.
  • Morticia and Gomez have a chat in the graveyard talking about their honeymoon. They share a passionate makeout scene on a tombstone shaped like a couch.
  • Fester sticks his finger in the ear of a conjoined twin in a manner which is supposed to be sexual.
  • Morticia wears a revealing skin-tight black dress with low cleavage throughout the film.
  • As Tully uses a torture device on Morticia, she moans before smiling and saying to him, "you've done this before."
  • While Morticia is on the torture death wheel (about to get poked with red hot pokers) Gomez comes in and as he unties the leather straps that are holding her down he says "Leather straps and red hot pokers" and she replies with "Later my dearest" Refering to them being kinky/freaky.
  • At the end of the movie Gomez asks Morticia what more they could ask for. Morticia pulls out a baby outfit she had knitted. He asks if it's true. And they share a long kiss.
  • Morticia wakes up and tells Gomez that last night he was "like an animal" and tells him, among other things, that he "frightened" her. She is aroused by this and says "do it again."
  • Morticia and Gomez make out 3 times in the movie.
  • In one scene, Morticia and Gomez are seen kissing (neck, cheeks, hands, arms, ect) in public. They become so passionate that it is implied they reached orgasm. The camera cuts away before anything is shown. You can however hear their cries of ecstacy. This scene is very short though.
  • A married character falls in love with somebody other than the spouse.

Violence & Gore

  • Morticia frightens a room of schoolchildren by telling them to imagine how the witch felt as she was burned alive in the Hansel and Gretel fairy-tale. This causes the children to cry.

  • A woman aims a gun at Gomez and then threatens to murder Morticia.
  • Some dark humor.
  • A girl runs after her brother with a knife, but her mother takes it away and surprisingly, gives her an axe instead and she chases her brother with that.
  • A boy is strapped to an electric chair, though nothing is shown and the boy survives seemingly unscathed.
  • Some torture devices are displayed.
  • Towards the end, there is a very graphic scene which shows Pugsley and Wednesday in a school play, battling it out with swords. Later it is revealed that the swords are real, and blood spews from wounds as Pugsley and Wednesday hack off each other's fake limbs from the costumes.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Tully and "Doctor Pindir-schloss" are thrown from a high window and they land in open graves side-by-side, presumably killed in the fall.
  • There are a lot of bizarre antics in the film which are somewhat cruel in nature, although it's worth noting that the Addams Family doesn't really physically hurt anybody. The most severe violence in the film involves the torture of Morticia Addams and the murder of Dr. Pindir-Schloss and Tully.
