At one point Sam Boyd turns off the car engine and the windshield wipers stop partway up. In the next shot the wipers are all the way down.
When they climb out of the lake after jumping from the apartment window, Grushenko's clothes are soaking wet but his hair is completely dry and in place.
When Mikhail and Gene are walking through the forest, they walk toward the camera which moves backwards in sync with them. At one point, the camera crew bumps some branches of a fir tree, which are seen to snap into the frame before the actors reach the tree.

Boyd and Grushenko go to the gift shop at the airport in "Chicago," which is mentioned in dialogue and on the loudspeaker. HOwever, the scene clearly filmed at Baltimore Washington International Airport. All the postcards on the racks in the foreground show scenes of Baltimore or Washington, and the big t-shirt display behind Boyd is filled with t-shirts for the Washington Redskins, the Baltimore Orioles and the University of Maryland.
When Boyd and Grushenko jump from the window into the lake, Grushenko leaves the window first. In the next shot, as they are falling, Grushenko is leading. But, when they hit the water, Boyd hits the water first.
While Jaffe (Kurtwood Smith) explains to Boyd (Gene Hackman) the location of the safe house in Berlin, reflections of boom mic and wheels of the dolly are visible in the office window.
