Flat and suspenseless
gridoon20248 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I noticed in the opening credits that this film is based on a "short story" by Mary Higgins Clark. Τhis short story has been unwisely expanded to feature length, and you can definitely feel the padding. The director manages one good effect (the superimposition of Kim Cattrall's face on the water of a sink), but the film is mostly flat and suspenseless. The solution of the mystery is less than shocking, as well - there are only three suspects, after all, and one of them is so obvious that you know he probably didn't do it. And what is Christopher Lee doing here? He is basically lending his name for marquee value, but he is in the film for about 15 minute tops. Not really recommended unless you're a big Cattrall fan, or if you want to see Sayid from "Lost" in an early role. ** out of 4.

I want this on DVD, and it's not that bad

Dear film buff or Kim Cattrall fan Your appreciation of this film will depend on whether you are into the artistry of film, like watching Metropolis or Lord of the Rings, or whether you are a fan of Kim. My feet are in both camps here, and i am prepared to forego the slightly wooden acting. It is not that bad, honestly, and if you are a Louise Brooks fan as i am, you may be forgiven for thinking this is Kim doing a Louise tribute, and i love her for that. (Diane Lane does the same thing in The Cotton Club). The plot is a bit dated, the acting understated, and it should be on DVD. This film is much better than a lot of the drivel that comes out on DVD these days, so come on, those that can, should and release this please. 6 out of 10 for the film and 10 out of 10 for Louise.... I mean Kim Cattrall.

Double Vision!
Sherazade20 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
A young and svelte Kim Cattrall plays twin sisters, in that very 80s fashion sort of way -- you know those old films (like the Jane Seymour type) whereby you know that it's one person playing both roles but the director is trying to make them distinct by exaggerating the differences between the two twins.

Anywho, the wild twin lives in London, is an aspiring model who is dating a playboy (played by Naveen Andrews) and one day suddenly goes missing. The chaste twin comes to London from America to find out what has happened to her sister when she loses contact with her and in the course of her investigation she begins to find out about the life her sister was leading. She also unwilling comes into contact with her sister's abusive boyfriend who may or may not be responsible for the wild twin's dead body which turns up later.

Actress Kate Winslet's sister Anna and their real life father co-star in this Saturday afternoon type film.

very nice movie

I am surprised nobody else has commented on this movie. This is a very good movie with nice music and shot at excellent locations in England. The plot has very good suspense and both Kim Cattrall and Naveen Andrews have done well.

Total Disaster in acting, looks and music
CarfelMA2 August 2003
I couldn't believe Kim Cattrall ever made a bad movie like this one. The storyline is okay but they could have made so much more out of it. The movie starts with a totally boring scene showing the twins as little girls and grown-ups talking with kids' voices pretending to be the little twin girls Lisa and Caroline. Who did the producers think the viewers are ? When the story went on the next disaster started with bad acting of most of all of the cast. Even Kim Cattrell could not convince in her parts of Lisa and Caroline and her look with the black short hair is a real pain for the eyes. And the music in the whole movie was so typical for low-budget TV movies for this time. Pop music with no inspiration with vocalists who should get more lessons in giving more strength to the voice. I really can't recommend "Double Vision", but if you're a fan of Kim Cattrell don't expect to much and just add it to your collection
