Good, not wide known...

A masterpiece in contemporary Mexican cinema; takes in account proverbial corruption due to a corporative system but also pictures the 1940's decade in bucolic Mexico, where democracy was almost inexistent but had voices that pointed that out. Solitude, greed and lust for power are well developed in a melodramatic mood that enhances a deep root in Mexican history. Great acting, the psychology of the characters is well established and the rhythm has a pace that resembles the quiet ambiance of the State of Guanajuato, a beautiful place. Director Busi Cortez shows a refined and well resolved plot in which her own interests and convictions are screened. A must see for those who like good Mexican Cinema
