The reunion of a divorced couple at a wedding serves as an excuse to return to the past. She goes to the wedding of the daughter of her boss. He attends the wedding of her boss's son. When they meet after 17 years of separation, their surprise is huge. Forced to share a vehicle with some Germans who offer to take them to the wedding banquet, the few words they exchange are not exactly kind. However, the song begins to play on the radio, a melody titled ¨Tu vida y mi vida"or "Your life and my life" brings back endless records . Their marriage ended so badly that neither of them has felt the slightest desire to see each other.

This is a Spanish comedy film released in 1992, directed by José Sacristán, which it was his last film as director of the three he directed, and starring Concha Velasco and José Sacristán himself in the main roles. Dealing with a surprising meeting between José Sacristán and Concha Velasco evoking numerous common memories in both of them by means of various flashbacks . It is very difficult to endure the entire film due to absurdity of its content. The script is weak but the plot and the dialogues are completely amorphous and lack any hint of interest. The theatrical piece -plot and script by A. Marsillach- are correct but its comic or social criticism claim lacks originality and also the necessary spark to awaken a smile. The sense of humor is somewhat flawed, not very subtle, sometimes pretentious and full of clichés and common places. So the efforts of José Sacristán -also the film's director- and Concha Velasco are barely capable of developing the story in an attractive way.

The film is a cinematic adaptation of the play by Adolfo Marsillach premiered in 1981 that was a big success ; however, the film was a real flop . Adolfo Marsillach's script for the film was nominated for the 1993 Goya Awards in the category of best adapted screenplay , though the award finally went to El maestro de esgrima. The picture was regularly directed by Jose Sacristán , it has a lot of flaws , gaps and results to be some tiring and dull . Sacristán a Spanish player with a long career , about forty years , in which he has been playing all kind roles . As José Sacristán was born in 1937 , Chinchón, Madrid . He is an magnificent actor and occasionally director, especially known for Un Lugar en Mundo (1992), Éste Es Mi barrio (1996) and El Viaje a Ninguna Parte (1986). He is married to also actress Leonor Benedetto. Other important films he performed is as follows: Un Hombre Llamado Flor de Otoño , Niñas.. al Salón , Reina Zanahoria , Acto Posesión , Asignatura Pendiente , Hasta Matrimonio Nos Separe and Parranda . Furthermore , Sacristan directed three acceptable films : 1977 Yo Bajo en la Próxima, ¿y Usted? , 1987 Cara Acelga and 1983 Soldados De Plomo .Yo me bajo en la próxima, ¿y usted? (1992) or I'll get off in the next one, and you? Rating : 4.5/10 . Average . Only for José Sacristán and Concha Velasco fans.
