Sex & Nudity

  • The decision of whether to keep a baby or give it to adoptive parents is the theme of one episode. The baby's natural mother tells the natural father "This is a child we made together". Occasionally, a character is afraid that his or her spouse is having an affair. These are the closest references to sex.

Violence & Gore

  • No gore.
  • Mild violence is used as evil acts.
  • Death and the angel of death are depicted. Characters are encouraged to not fear death, but also to not seek death.

Profanity

  • Sometimes language is used-What the hell, Damn you, etc. will be used, but nothing extreme like the F word (think PG).
  • The word "God" is used in prayer and in discussion about what the lord wants. The name is not used profanely.
  • Some (especially non-Christians) might find the representation of angels and their relationship to the lord to be obscene.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Shown as things to avoid. A meeting like A.A. is shown.
  • A dropped cigarette burns down a house and almost kills a child (the child is saved by an angel).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Frightening situations (such as a character deciding whether to commit suicide, she decides NO). Instances of soul-searching decisions are common.
  • Many intensely emotional scenes. Beyond the understanding of a young child, but can be emotional or scarey for pre-teen children. When viewing for the first time, children should watch with a caring adult.
