Absolutely Hilarious!
On Spooner Continent, the sorcerers rule over everyone else and it's up to the Sorcerer Hunters (Carrot Glace, 17; Chocolat Misu, 17; Marron Glace, 16;Tira Misu, 16; and Gateau Mocha, 19-20) to stop them.

Carrot is a huge pervert who changes into a beast as he's hit with any kind of magic, Chocolat is in love with him, and so's Tira. When Carrot goes all beastly, whipping him is the only way they get him back. Marron is Carrot's slightly effeminate younger brother who is extremely protective of Carrot, and Gateau's the muscles of the group, and he has a crush on Marron. (Who doesnt?!)

The series is in two parts, Sorcerer Hunters and "Spell Wars", and what I've seen, it's a wicked, wicked show with lots of fluff. ^_^ I've never laughed so hard in an anime other than Slayers and Trigun. There's lots of comedy, some romance, action, lots of stuff. Great characters, although they could've chosen better voice actors for the dub in some cases.. and in some parts, the series isn't as good as the manga (comic book), but all around, it's a great anime to start off on!

Far out the best

When I first viewed the trailer,I have to decide if this series would be perfect for my collection. But after hearing about it,I decided to buy it. When I bought the entire collection in a box set,it was absolutely what I wanted to see. It was very funny, and the characters were pretty cool. Favorite characters in the show are:Marion,Carrot, the Haze Knights,Big Momma, and Dotta. I also liked the opening and ending theme songs. The show also has some great voice talents from Tiffany Grant,Jason Douglas, and others. But however, this show is one of the greatest. So if you want to see something cool. Then this show is the one.

It's the funniest anime I've seen

Bakuretsu Hunters is the funniest series any anime fan should check out.The characters' personalities (Carrot is a girl-crazy wuss for example) and the plots for each episode would draw anyone who wants a laugh to it. The only thing that disappoints me is Tira and Chocolat's sadistic alter egos, yes I'm a girl, but I'm sure all you single men out there will love 'em if you like one woman who uses a whip as a weapon and the other a metal wire.

What a fun show! But why are characters' named after food?

I guess it doesn't matter cause this show is great. Fun characters, original villains, and wild plots make this series one you'll keep watching. The show just keeps getting wilder and wilder. So if you like anime with action, romance and comedy (especially that last one) check out Sorcerer Hunters!

It's too much fun!

You're stuck laughing at Carrot's stupidity and how he's always chasing girls. Then there's Tira, she looks like little red riding hood, but take off her cape and tada! Sex city! Chocolate is the only girl that wants Carrot, and ironically he doesn't want her! So it's funny to see what goes on between those two. Marron and Gateu are the only so-called "normal" ones in the show. But the show in general is just plain fun! And it's exciting to watch them take on those power-driven sorcerers. I read the manga, and the show is just as good (in some ways better). Poor dubbing, but a great show all in all!

Its a cool series.... IT HAS MARRON IN IT!!!

If nothing else, watch the series cause it has MARRON GLACE!!!

Ok....the series was ok, actually, I thought it would be alot better than it actually was, so I was a bit disappointed. If you are a fan of the Bakuretsu Hunter manga (which is wonderful, by the way...!!!) Then I HIGHLY highly recommend the Bakuretsu Hunter OVA instead of the TV series, because:

ONE, it is actual chapters from the manga...

TWO, Mille, the gay purple haired guy is in it more, and his hair actually IS purple in this one, instead of blue-green, like in the TV series. (He's pretty good lookin too!!) and...

THREE...the most important one...MARRON IS SO MUCH HOTTER IN THE OVA!!! I dont know why they made him so....pasty looking in the TV series...:(

I dont mean to bash this series that much. It is a funny series!!^__^ Please watch it.....give it a try....and see for yourself what you think of it. ...and DOWN WITH ZAHA!! GO BAKURESTU HUNTERS!!! YOU RULE!!

Been there, done that

I really thought this show would be funnier.

Instead, we get a rather unoriginal and schizophrenic fantasy show, with character elements a little too reminiscent of Urusei Yatsura, with little of the charm, and a bit of S-and-M teasing to be "interesting".

Meanwhile, the storyline itself, which can actually be downright depressing, meshes quite badly with the whimsical naming scheme, and the actual animation, while serviceable, isn't great. The most exciting part of the series is the music, which is excellent, but hardly enough to carry the series.

Still, if you've had your Slayers fix, or need a follow-up to Maze Bakunetsu Jikuu, and need something to tide you over until they make an anime that does justice to the Dungeons and Dragons genre, you might want to give this show a try. But don't take it too seriously, okay?
