One of the largest radio companies in the U.S., Audacy, said Sunday that it would file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after reaching a deal with its debt holders to restructure.
Audacy owns some of the most high-profile radio stations in the U.S., including L.A.’s infamous alternative station Kroq, Kcbs and Knx, as well as New York’s 1010 Wins news station, Wcbs talk station, and Wfan, the country’s first sports radio station.
Audacy owns more than 200 radio stations across the country, and also operates dozens of digital radio channels. The company also has partnerships with companies like Warner Bros. Discovery and Bloomberg LP.
Audacy was created after the merger of Entercom and CBS Radio in 2017, when CBS was looking to exit its non-tv businesses.
In a statement Sunday, the company said the deal with debt holders will reduce its debt load by about 80%, from $1.9 billion to $350 million.

Jamie Foxx cannot catch a break.
After he was hospitalized earlier this year due to an unspecified illness, Foxx is now battling a different enemy: online conspiracy theories. A.J. Benza, a podcaster and former New York Daily News contributor who you might also remember from frequent appearances on E! Foxx’s representatives told NBC News the claim is “completely inaccurate.”
Benza said that after Foxx got the vaccine while on set and formed a blood clot, which led to a stroke. Benza claimed that this information came from a source close to the actor and Dr. Drew Pinsky, the former “Loveline” host who has been embroiled in a series of controversies over the past few years (including downplaying the severity of...

Comedian and podcast personality Adam Carolla has teamed up with conservative radio host Dennis Prager to make “No Safe Spaces,” a documentary about political correctness at universities in the United States. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two have been filming at various colleges, including California State University, Northridge —where they were initially not allowed inside — and U.C. Berkeley, where Ann Coulter had to cancel her speech in April as a result of threats of violence.
Carolla and Prager have started an Indiegogo campaign, looking to raise $500,000 for their film, which will then be matched by the same amount by Capital Research Center’s Dangerous Documentaries, as reported by THR. “No Safe Spaces” is a criticism against universities’ “safe spaces,” which refers to educational institutions offering a safe place for distressed students who may be victims of hate violence or speech.

Syfy have revealed the first wave of cameos and the official movie poster for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, with Anthony C. Ferrante returning to direct an original screenplay written by Thunder Levin, premiering in the Us on Sunday July 31st.
Sharknado: The 4th Awakens takes place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in last summer’s Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. Fin (Ziering), his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks – and ‘nados! – are being whipped up in places (and ways) least expected. Tara Reid is also set to return as April Wexler to reveal the outcome of the fan-voted #AprilLives or #AprilDies social campaign. David Hasselhoff (as Gil Shepard) and Ryan Newman (as Claudia Shepard) will also reprise their Sharknado 3 roles. After being on the radio airwaves for more than 30 years, “Loveline” will be ending next Thursday, Dr. Drew Pinsky announced Thursday. Pinsky, who goes by “Dr. Drew” as host of the sex and relationship advice program, made the announcement during his weekly appearance on Kroq’s morning Kevin and Bean program. Adam Corolla, who co-hosted the program with Pinsky for 11 years, will be the final co-host on Thursday, April 28. During his announcement, Pinsky admitted the show had become an unsustainable business model and that he had been hosting for free for at least “a couple of years.” Also Read: Nancy Grace.

Adam Carolla first entered my consciousness when he served as co-host of the MTV talk show Loveline which dispensed wit and wisdom to America's youth in the late 1990s. Since then, he's done a lot of shows in which he's appeared as himself, and voiced a number of roles in animated ventures, but I believe Road Hard is his first lead performance in a feature film since 2007's The Hammer. He and Kevin Hench wrote the original screenplay and directed the comedy, which follows a stand-up comic who goes back on the road to provide for his daughter after he experiences a costly divorce and loses his television show. In an exclusive clip, the comic (Carolla, of course) tries to check out of a hotel...

Adam Carolla has been an actor and comedy writer for three decades, best known for his work on "Loveline," "The Man Show," and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" But this spring, the comedian is really shaking things up.
With the new movie "Road Hard," Carolla is in the director's chair for the first time, alongside co-director Kevin Hench, but don't get it twisted: Carolla still stars in the comedy. The film follows a comedian (Carolla) forced to go back on the road to provide for his daughter following an expensive divorce and the cancellation of his TV show.
To celebrate the release of his new comedy, we asked Carolla for his five all-time favorite comedies, above.
"Road Hard" arrives in theaters Friday, March 6.

In a blog that drew national attention a few days ago, Paulina, a junior at Barnard College, started her story about her bulimia by recalling how she revealed to her mother, Susan, back in 2012 that "I've been throwing up since the seventh grade." Half of marriages in America end up in divorce. However, the average American divorce costs approximately $50,000.
The costs of divorces are skyrocketing through lawyers and court costs. And this divorce industry isn’t slowing down any time soon.
In the documentary “Divorce Corp,” the film looks into the growing, perhaps unconstitutional, business of family courts that costs America over $50 billion annually. The documentary looks at the lawyers, judges, mediators and even custody evaluators over their power and extortion in the unregulated system.
The film is narrated by Dr. Drew Pinsky (“Loveline”) and directed by Joe Sorge (“Six Little McGhees”).
Latino-Review had a telephone interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky about his role in the film and a full discussion about the divorce problems in America.

A few years after Mike and Karen Schilling moved onto Meadowlark Lane in 1977, their doorbell started ringing in the wee hours. Mike would usually wake to find a delivery man with pizza or Chinese food on the doorstep. Other times, an impatient cabbie stood waiting. Eventually, the local Chinese, pizza and taxi vendors all refused to send anyone to Meadowlark Lane.
Then there was the shrub Mike left on the curb for the garbage men to pick up. The next morning, he found the plant on his front step. Back to the curb he took it –- only to find it waiting for him again the next morning. The charade continued for weeks; Mike got so annoyed that he started sleeping on the couch in an effort to catch the culprit. But he never did.

Adam Carolla has landed in hot water with Lgbt media watchdog groups. The former "Loveline" co-host was accused by GLAAD of "gross intolerance" for the offensive comments he made on his recent podcast for "The Adam Carolla Show". Afterward, he issued some sort of apology.
Through his representative, the 47-year-old told EW, "I'm sorry my comments were hurtful." Still, he added, "I'm a comedian, not a politician." GLAAD has since responded to the half-hearted apology by issuing a statement that continues to berate the radio host.
"Adam Carolla has a history of making anti-lgbt and racist statements," Herndon Graddick, the organization's senior director of media programs, pointed out. "Networks and advertisers should remember that attacking people who are different from him, and following it with empty apologies, is just a regular part of Carolla's routine."

Add Adam Carolla to the long list of comedians prompted to apologize for offensive statements. Last week, Carolla ranted on his podcast about the transgender community, suggesting that Lgbt people should "shut up" and stop "ruining his life."

Dr. Drew Pinsky is going to take a long time off from helping troubled stars. It has been reported that "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" will go on indefinite hiatus after the current fifth season is wrapped up.

"The amount of time Dr. Drew has to commit to treating celebrities on the show is a tremendous amount of time," the insider further explained. The 52-year-old television personality may do the show again in the future if he has time as the source revealed that "Dr.

'Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew' is in the midst of its final season, according to a report in Radar Online. The reason, reportedly, has nothing to do with a mounting chorus of criticism the show has been getting from the substance abuse treatment community, but instead is because of Dr. Drew Pinksy's increasingly busy TV schedule.
"The decision was made to put the show on hiatus because Dr. Drew Pinsky is just too busy to continue to do the show," a source close to the show told Radar. [Dr. Drew] would absolutely love to revisit doing the show again in the future when he has the time. Dr. Drew really enjoyed doing the show, even though it could be very emotionally grueling at times.

Adam Carolla thinks men are getting too soft. That's why he wrote his book of humorous essays, 'In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks ... And Other Complaints from an Angry Middle-Aged White Guy.' But there's one man in particular Carolla thinks needs saving from his softer side, he revealed Thursday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). And that's his 'Loveline' co-host, Dr. Drew Pinsky, whom Carolla said was the inspiration for him to write the book.
The inspiration comes from a single incident, when Pinsky showed up ten minutes late for 'Loveline' one night because he'd had a flat tire. He had to wait for Aaa to come fix it, Pinsky had explained. What shocked Carolla was that Pinsky had gotten the flat in his own garage. "I said, 'You called Aaa to come to your house, to...

Had my parents never subjected me to objectively uncomfortable discussions about the anatomical differences between men and women and the basics of human copulation, I would’ve still had a perfectly normal, perfectly healthy childhood with a full understanding of the idiosyncrasies of knockin’ boots. That’s because I listened to Loveline. The nationally syndicated call-in radio program with a mandate to offer candid medical and relationship advice to listeners whose sexual deficiencies run the gamut of your imagination functioned as the moral and behavioral compass of my adolescence. Whatever Dr. Drew Pinsky and Adam Corolla said in straightforward diagnoses or colorful metaphors I took for gospel. And I think it kinda worked out! The Loveline hosts’ understanding, concern, and acceptance of the wide array of human conditions, all while keeping their entertainer hats on, is palpable. You can hear it yourself (for a small fee) by exploring the Loveline archives or,...

No one wants to be the first to go, but Tuesday’s eliminated contestant on Dancing with the Stars was all smiles after the show. For more on the amateur hoofer who got the boot, head to the jump…
No one needs to tell “Psycho” Mike Catherwood where he probably stands with viewers. But after earning a 13 for last week’s Foxtrot and a 17 for Monday’s jive, Catherwood recognized that his moves might not be the only reason he became the first competitor to leave the dance floor.

When the axe falls during the first elimination of "Dancing With the Stars" Season 12, we're holding out hope that it's not on the low-scoring Mike Catherwood. The radio personality's recent foray into national television may not have revealed him to be the greatest dancer, but he sure is entertaining.
So when Catherwood stopped by The Ktla News Morning Show, Zap2it had a sit down with the contestant we've grown so attached to. And in addition to telling us about Loveline colleague Dr. Drew Pinsky's rather unorthodox approach to dealing with his friend's low scores, Mike divulged the most unusual side effect of his burgeoning fame.
"Dr. Drew has gotten awful meat-heady about 'Dancing With the Stars,'" Catherwood tells us of his friend who sat in the audience for the Mar. 28 episode. "He just threatens to beat everybody up. He wants me to go far and do well,...

Mike Catherwood may host a sex advice show on the radio, but apparently, the 32-year-old hunk is too sexy for television.

The official Dancing with the Stars Season 12 cast photos of our new 11 couples are out, and doesn’t everyone look gorgeous? Really gorgeous, but the posing is so novice still; you can tell the celebrities have a ways to go with their dance training, sorry to say. Chris Jericho looks the best form wise, he almost had me fooled for a second. When I first glimpsed at the photo I thought he was pro dancer Louis Van Amstel. Chris and Cheryl Burke have my vote for overall best photo.
Most everyone else looks a bit stiff, especially Ralph Macchio, and could he look more nervous? Best form out of the celeb females is Chelsea Kane, hands down. She and Mark Ballas are going to be tough competition. Coolest looking couple? Romeo and Chelsie Hightower. Hottest looking couple? Kym Johnson and Hines Ward. Strangest pic? Kirstie Alley, even though she looks elegant,...

One of the biggest question marks in this season's slightly-less-star-powered-than-usual 'Dancing With the Stars' cast is 'Psycho' Mike Catherwood. What do we know about the guy besides the fact that he looks a lot like Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos?
Catherwood is a Los Angeles-based radio DJ who got his start as a sidekick on the Kevin & Bean morning show on L.A. rock radio station Kroq and currently co-hosts the nationally syndicated 'Loveline' with everyone's favorite TV personality / addiction specialist, Dr. Drew Pinsky.
His rise to national fame, however, came just a few weeks ago when he co-hosted 'Live With Regis and Kelly' when Reege was out one day. Catherwood told his home radio station in an interview that he was asked to do Dwts after that fateful gig. Actually, he started getting calls during the taping.

Dr. Drew Pinsky (of "Celebrity Rehab" and "Loveline" fame) says that he wants his career to push him into uncomfortable situations -- so it's safe to say his recent moderation of MTV's "No Easy Decision" was on point.
Pinsky opened up about the controversial abortion special at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour while promoting his new Hln talk show.
"That made me very uncomfortable for many reasons," says Pinsky, "but I felt the conversation was worth having."
In addition to the fact that he had to keep his opinions to himself -- something he admits he's not used to -- Pinsky was worried how it might be edited. "We filmed for two or three hours," he says, "I may not like how the story goes."
He seems pleased with the outcome though, possibly due in part to the fact that the discussion he moderated didn't elicit too many surprises for him.

Brad and Angelina cover your ears. Dr. Drew is Not holding back when it comes to his thoughts about you — he thinks your relationship is going to end in disaster! Here’s Why.
According to an explosive post Dr. Drew Pinsky wrote for the Huffington Post, superstar couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are speeding ahead into”some sort of meltdown”! “There’s no such thing as ‘I was a heroin addict,’” the “Celebrity Rehab” host says of Angelina, who has admitted to using ‘every drug possible. Coke, heroin, ecstasy, everything.’ “That doesn’t exist in nature,” Dr. Drew continues. “Something is going on with [her] addiction. Or she’s in recovery. And I don’t see any evidence that that’s the case.”

The two Manzo brothers appeared on Bravo's 'The Millionaire Matchmaker' earlier this season, bringing in the show's highest ratings and getting a lot of female attention.

And at last night’s MTV Movie Awards, the “Mean Girls” babe went out of her way to avoid celebrity counselor Dr. Drew Pinsky.
LiLo was originally set to be seated next to the “Loveline” host, though when she discovered the arrangement, Lindsay quickly requested a different spot.
