The highly-anticipated “Twin Peaks” revival series will hit television sometime next year. Director and co-creator David Lynch is currently editing the series and it will feature many of the original cast members, including star Kyle MacLachlan. But before then, co-creator Mark Frost will release a novel entitled “The Secret History of Twin Peaks,” which will reveal what the series’ characters have been up to since the 1991 finale. EW reports that Kyle MacLachlan and several of the original cast will reunite for the novel’s audiobook. Other actor set to take part include Russ Tamblyn, Michael Horse, Chris Mulkey, David Patrick Kelly, Amy Shiels, James Morrison, Robert Knepper, Annie Wersching, and Len Cariou.

Universal Pictures released their new comedy flick, "Ted 2," into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out and thought it was extremely funny, delivering laughs at every turn. The plotline was amazingly silly though, but it's about a Teddy bear that came to life and smokes pot, so I guess it would be really hard to expect anything other than extreme silliness. Anyways, the movie stars: Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Mark Wahlberg, Dennis Haysbert, Amanda Seyfried, Mila Kunis, Seth MacFarlane and Jessica Barth. In the new flick, Ted (Seth MacFarlane) has gotten married to a hot blonde, named Tami-Lynn. Unfortunately, they run into major marital problems after a couple of months, and ultimately decide they need a baby to help repair the God forsaken marriage. However, things go from bad to really worse when the government decides that Ted is not actually a real person, and that he's actually deemed as property instead.

At the moment, Survivor: Blood Vs. Water should be called Survivor: Non-Heroes Vs. Non-Villains. Every remaining competitor is playing a low-key game (with the exception of Caleb, whose last-minute blitz on Brad Culpepper during that Tadhana tribal council is still the season’s most shocking move), and so far no one is even planning on anything nefarious or insane (with the exception of Colton, who left the game preemptively on a magic carpet made out of an oversize pink polo shirt).
Sure, Tyson is shoring up some propaganda against Aras, using backhanded remarks to make him look like an unfit teammate in front of his fellow tribesman, but that’s not exactly psychological warfare. We’re at a point where teammates who twitch too suddenly or utter anything suspicious get sent packing, and that was certainly the case on Wednesday’s episode. I hope some loudmouths start commandeering this game soon,...

Revenge, Season 2, Episode 16: “Illumination”
Written by Michael Foley and Sallie Patrick
Directed by Bobby Roth
Airs Sundays at 9 pm (Et) on ABC
Since the beginning of Revenge, Emily’s old life has always threatened to invade her new one and expose her plans for the Graysons. With the arrival last week of Eli, her foster brother who she hadn’t seen for 14 years, it seems like her past is finally closing in on her.
Emily’s biggest problem has always been her past. For someone who seeks control, she loses it the moment anyone from her past steps into the picture. When Amanda arrived in the first season it affected Emily deeply. Eli proves an even more emotional connection to her past, however this is the new Emily and her cynicism warns her that the Eli is “a wild card”.
Eli’s an interesting character. The parallels between him...

Earlier this month the psychological horror anthology Sanitarium premiered during the Miami International Film Festival.
Directed by Bryan Ramirez, Kerry Valderrama and Bryan Ortiz, Sanitarium consists of three segments based on the particular patients of a mental institution that's being overseen by the sinister Dr. Stenson (Malcolm McDowell), who acts as the navigator through each chilling story.
With elements from "The Twilight Zone," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Creepshow," and "Tales from the Crypt," Sanitarium explores the different narratives of the insane patients and the tales which led to their crazed states of minds. These accounts reflect hallucinations, imaginary voices and altered realities and include themes of the paranormal, the unexplainable and the mystical.
Sanitarium also stars Robert Englund, John Glover, Lou Diamond Phillips, Lacey Chabert, Chris Mulkey and David Mazouz. Recently Dread Central chatted with the directing trio behind the film for Indie Horror Month, who touch upon what inspired them...

Revenge, Season 1, Episode 8: “Treachery”
Written by Ryan Scott
Directed by Bobby Roth
Airs Wednesdays at 10pm Et on ABC
Cléa Major: Episode 7 ended on a pretty significant cliffhanger: we had the murder of the Graysons’ henchman Frank; his reveal to Victoria that Amanda is not who she says she is; and the arrival of the real Emily Thorne in the Hamptons. Things seemed to be shaken up and I was definitely intrigued, but Amanda neatly avoids getting herself wrapped up in the murder. She’s always been a pro at thinking on her feet and getting out of tricky situations without losing a smidgen of face, but I was still surprised at how well things worked out for her, given how close Frank came to shouting her identity from the rooftops.
The possible wrench in her plans, because of course there’s always a wrench, is that the real...

Moneyball is one of the year's most anticipated films and it will be hitting theaters this Friday. Starring Brad Pitt as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A's who lead a team of castoffs to the American League playoffs back in 2003, the film is based on Michael Lewis' ("The Blind Side") bestselling book of the same name, and has been mentioned for awards season kudos.
The film debuted in Toronto at the beginning of this month where it didn't cement it as the Oscar frontrunner, but it didn't knock it out of contention either. Most of the reviews coming out of the festival were positive to glowing including Brad's take on the film (read that here) when he saw it on the first day of the fest.
Hollywood hasn't made that many baseball movies over the years but the ones they have made have often been terrific. Here,...

Being a teenager is hard work. Growing up, and all the tribulations that come along with it, have been the subject of a great many films. The coming of age movie is tricky and, unfortunately, we recently lost John Hughes, one of the men who perfected the art of holding up a mirror to our growing pains. This month marks the DVD and Blu-ray release of one of the best coming of age films in recent memory: Adventureland. It’s so good that I absolutely refuse to summarize the plot in hopes that you’ll watch it. To be honest, I’ve always had two guilty pleasure genres: horror and coming of age. I appreciate the best (American Graffiti and Dazed and Confused) as well as the worst (I Love You Beth Cooper and any American Pie sequel). In the spirit of things, here are five coming of age films...

Beauty and the Geek Bowl" />Previously on Beauty and the Geek, the geeks dominated the beauties in the first ever Beauty and the Geek talent show. When faced with their first elimination, some of the beauties chose to flirt instead of study. Amber failed to answer any questions in the elimination, so she was sent home. Tonight, the social experiment will continue to evolve.
Tonight's Beauty and the Geek begins immediately after last week's elimination. Tommy hopes that Amber is coming back. Each of the other girls walks into the room, one-by-one, and poor Tommy has a stricken look on his face because Amber is not among them. Not to be deterred, Tommy insists that as soon as the show is over, he's going to continue his budding relationship with Amber because, by golly, he wants to date a supermodel, gosh darnit!
It's time to find out this week's challenge.

It really was James' week on Big Brother 9. As if getting the chance to come back into the house mere minutes after being evicted wasn't enough, then he had to go and win Head of Household. Then he won the Power of Veto. Then he wouldn't rest until he discovered who the three people that didn't vote to bring him back were.
Tonight, James' reign came to an end on Big Brother, but not before getting one last moment of total power. Matt cried, Natalie continued to pine over a man she will never get, Sheila continued to play the game well, and we got to catch up on where Big Brother 8 winner Dick Donato and his daughter Daniele are. Unfortunately, the answer isn't “not on my TV screen.”

Previously on Beauty and the Geek, nine beauties and nine geeks met for the first time. They found out that they would be competing against each other, and the beauties immediately set about strategizing. Tensions rose between Randi and Amber, and their big, colossal fight sent Jim running to go get some popcorn. In the new elimination room, John E. wasn't quick enough with the buzzer, and he became the first person to be ejected from season 5 of Beauty and the Geek.
Tonight's episode of Beauty and the Geek begins immediately post-elimination. Everyone cheers for the returning geeks. Amber is happy to see Tommy back. She's a little gold-digger in the making—she likes Tom because he's good-looking (and not a real geek, I still maintain) and he'll be rich someday. Cara is happy to see Chris and his rhinestone-encrusted pink hat. Tara isn't too keen to see Jonathan...

Beauty and the Geek" />Welcome to the season premiere of that lovely social experiment we know and love, Beauty and the Geek. This season, the experiment has changed in a very material way. Instead of being paired up in beauty/geek pairs, the competition will be beauties versus geeks. What hasn't changed, however, is that there are remarkable transformations in store for us this season, not to mention that there will also be that $250,000 pot at the end of the competition.
Tonight's episode of Beauty and the Geek begins when the nine male geeks pull up in a GeekMobile and arrive at a hangar. The doors open, and in comes a jet, the AirBeauty. The beauties walk out, looking very sultry and gorgeous. It's cute to see the geeks' jaws drops. In the confessional room, Cara the aspiring soap star admits that she can't tell time. Leticia, confessionals that...
