Sex & Nudity

  • The protagonist enters a beam to change his appearance. He is naked but is shown from the waist up. No nudity.
  • A woman asks a man if he would join her in bed. The man is naked, showing him from the lower waist and up, with His breast and nipples fully visible the whole scene. All you see of the woman is her face and one shoulder.
  • A man jumps out of the bathtub fully naked, his private parts are not shown directly. The bathtub from above crashes through the roof and further through the flood leaving a big hole, when we see a naked woman sitting on the WC screaming and covering her breasts.
  • An alien being assumes the shape of a naked woman. She is shown from the shoulders up and there is no nudity whatsoever.

Violence & Gore

  • A man awakens in his bed and sees two menacing intruders approach. Though nothing violent is shown, he is shown being driven away in an ambulance in critical condition.
  • The protagonist is pistol whipped by cruel soldiers.
  • The protagonist falls down a shaft and is almost crushed by a metal capsule.
  • The protagonist pushes an alien out of an elevator to his presumed death.
  • The protagonist hits an alien with his car. The alien is shown with a gash in his stomach and heat emitting from it as he screams in pain.
  • The protagonist is attacked by an alien wielding a sharp scythe.
  • The protagonist freezes several aliens with steam. He is then attacked by their leader but retaliates by cutting off his arm with a broken ax.
  • A man is almost crushed when the ceiling above his bathtub caves in.
  • A woman is killed in bed while awake by 20 or so scorpions. She is shown leaping up through the covers and screaming.

Profanity

  • 1 "f" word, 10 "s" words, 5 "ass" words, 4 hells, 3 damns, and 4 uses of "Jesus" and 1 of "Great God" as exclamations.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The protagonist is questioned about his alcohol intake last night. The interrogator is holding a cigarette but is never shown smoking it.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Though this film is very, VERY light on violence, the atmosphere is brimming with tension and threat throughout.
  • The scene where an alien leaves a legion of scorpions in a woman's hotel room is intense. The scorpions are shown crawling everywhere throughout the room and the woman fails to notice.
  • The appearance of the alien creatures may look pretty silly by today's standards but they are hideous and cruel and will probably frighten younger viewers.
  • The protagonist's synthetic face begins bubbling and melting off painfully. He manages to tear it free with the help of a waterfall. This scene is slightly disturbing.
  • A woman is shown dead after being stung by numerous scorpions. She is in a hideous twisted position.
  • The climax is extremely intense and surprising.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several of the aliens may frighten younger viewers. A child alien is seen. It's back legs snap backwards and starts to hop like a grasshopper. At the end, it is suggested that very few people aren't aliens, and that those that aren't, will be watching the aliens from now on. It isn't a frightening scene, but the idea of it may frighten younger viewers.
