After they're both fired, self-centered Gwen moves in with former assistant Terry and her brother, Danny. Gwen files for unemployment and Terry gets a strange telemarketing job.
Gwen and Terry take on their first client: an unfunny stand up comedian who's the son of a mobster. Meanwhile, Danny documents every outrageous thing Gwen says for use in his writing.
Terry tries to convince Gwen to sell her race horse. Meanwhile Danny strikes up an unlikely friendship with basketball player and aspiring screenwriter Karl Malone.
Terry and Danny establish bathroom rules that don't bode well with Gwen, so she borrows Mrs. Francis's tub. Meanwhile, Danny's blinded by lust... literally.
