Sex & Nudity

  • Two characters have sex. We see thrusting and hear them breathing heavily. As the woman walks away, we see her buttocks. This scene is brief and not graphic, but there is no doubt what is happening. Camera is very close.
  • Ordell makes refrences to sex and mentions several different women he's seeing throughout the movie, mostly non graphic.
  • Fairly mild apart from one sex scene (there is basically no nudity), there are also some non-graphic sexual references.
  • A main character is always seen in short shorts and a skimpy bikini top. Her shorts show off her butt and her thighs quite a bit. Her top is very thin and lots of cleavage is visible.
  • A character watches a tv show with scantily clad women shooting guns. No nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • In a wide shot a man opens a trunk and shoots a man inside, bloodless and shown far in the distance.
  • A woman is suddenly shot in the chest, slightly offscreen and bloodless. After falling she is shot on the ground, again offscreen. A fairly surprising scene.
  • A man is shot in the chest, blood splatters against a windshield, and then is shot again close-range in the chest with no blood.
  • A man is shot three in the darkness, he falls to the ground and we see him laying lifeless.

Profanity

  • The word "fuck" is said 114 times along with many other frequent uses of profanities such as "shit," "god damn," and "ass", including pervasive use of the racial slur "nigga."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Jackie gets framed for having possession of cocaine.
  • A woman is presumed to either be a junkie or an alcoholic.
  • Jackie and Ordel smokes cigarettes
  • Two characters smoke a lot of weed together in several scenes.
  • Two characters are always seen using a bong and have some discussions about how they get high.
  • Alcohol usage is also in a few scenes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Very light in terms of violence, especially for a Quentin Tarantino movie. This is his least violent film out of all of his films.
  • All deaths can be intense or disturbing.
  • Overall, compared to other Tarantino films and 90s crime flicks this is fairly clean in every category and is not intense.
  • Some scenes may be intense but nothing too bad.
