Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The appearances of the antagonists Zira and Nuka may be too scary for children under 8 years old.
  • After Nuka dies, Zira mourns and slashes a scar on Kovu's face which looks exactly like Scar's old disfigurement. Zira blames Kovu for Nuku's death, but Kovu realizes he is being unjustly accused and stands up to his mother for the first time before he flees. However, when Kovu tries to return to the Pride Lands, a furious Simba refuses to accept his explanation and casts him out in a harrowing gauntlet of animals striking him.
