Kelly Van Ryan, a beautiful and manipulative heiress makes a serious accusation against her crush, Sam Lombardo, a handsome educational guidance counselor. Kelly alleges that Sam sexually assaulted her after washing his jeep for charity and it gets much worse when Kelly's nemesis Suzie Toller, a social outcast also accuses Sam of also sexual assaulting her. After being arrested and sent to jail, Sam stands trial and the trial reaches a stunning conclusion when Suzie confesses that Sam is innocent and that herself and Kelly lied about it and that they did it so they could hurt and humiliate him and the case is dismissed and Kelly's wealthy mother Sandra is forced to pay Sam a huge sum of money in a settlement. The dismissal of the rape case causes local cop Detective Ray Duqette to question the case and why Suzie confessed to lying about Sam at the trial and Ray begins to believe the rape case was all part of a scam and he suspects that Sam, Kelly and Susie schemed to steal Sandra Van Ryan's money and he begins to follow them. But, as the D.A. orders Ray to leave Sam, Kelly and Suzie alone and to discontinue investigating the case, Susie vanishes and her blood and teeth are discovered at a beach. Believing Sam and Kelly have murdered Suzie, Ray disobeys the D.A.'s order and he goes to the Van Ryan mansion to confront Kelly.
Even though the Unrated Version runs approx. six and a half minutes longer than the Theatrical Version it features only one really unrated-worthy scene: the extended lesbian pool sequence between Neve Campbell and Denise Richards. The rest of the scenes are purely plot extensions.
