[breathes raspily and growls softly]

Darth Sidious : Rise.
[the newly dubbed Vader does so]

Anakin Skywalker : Master Windu, I must talk to you.
Mace Windu : Skywalker! We've just received word that Obi-Wan has destroyed General Grievous. We're on our way to make sure the Chancellor returns emergency power back to the Senate.
Anakin Skywalker : He won't give up his power. I've just learned a terrible truth. I think Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith Lord.
Mace Windu : [suprised] A Sith Lord?
Anakin Skywalker : Yes, the one we've been looking for.
Mace Windu : How do you know this?
Anakin Skywalker : He knows the ways of the Force. He's been trained to use the Dark Side.
Mace Windu : Are you sure?
Anakin Skywalker : Absolutely.
Mace Windu : Then our worst fears have been realized. We must move quickly if the Jedi Order is to survive.
Anakin Skywalker : Master, the Chancellor is very powerful. You'll need my help if you're going to arrest him.
Mace Windu : For your own good, stay out of this affair. I sense a great deal of confusion in you, young Skywalker. There is much fear that clouds your judgment.
Anakin Skywalker : I must go, Master.

[they circle each other]
Chancellor Palpatine : Be careful of the Jedi, Anakin. Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi. Learn to know the dark side of the Force, and you will be able to save your wife... from certain death.
[smiles evilly]
Anakin Skywalker : What did you say?
Chancellor Palpatine : Use my knowledge, I beg you.
Anakin Skywalker : [ignites his lightsaber and aims at Palpatine's throat] *You're* the Sith Lord!

Obi-Wan : Anakin, let's be fair. Today you were the hero and you deserve your glorious day with the politicians.
Anakin Skywalker : All right. But you owe me one, and for not saving your skin for the tenth time.

Yoda : Allow this appointment lightly the Council does not. Disturbing is this move by Chancellor Palpatine.

Mace Windu : You are on this Council, but we do not grant you the rank of Master.

[pauses]
Anakin Skywalker : How can you do this? This is outrageous! It's unfair! How can you *be* on the Council and *not* be a master?
Mace Windu : [sternly] Take a *seat*, young Skywalker.
Anakin Skywalker : [bows] Forgive me, Master.

Darth Sidious : [dons Sith robes] Because the Council did not trust you, my young apprentice, I believe you are the only Jedi with no knowledge of this plot. When the Jedi learn what has transpired here, they will kill us, along with all the Senators.
[pulls his hood up]
Anakin Skywalker : I agree. The Council's next move will be against the Senate.
Darth Sidious : Every single Jedi, including your friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is now an enemy of the Republic!
Anakin Skywalker : I understand, Master.
Darth Sidious : We must move quickly. The Jedi are relentless. If they are not all destroyed, it will be civil war without end. First, I want you to go to the Jedi Temple. We will catch them off balance. Do what must be done, Lord Vader! Do not hesitate, show no mercy! Only then, will you be strong enough with the dark side to save Padmé.
Anakin Skywalker : What about the other Jedi spread across the galaxy?
Darth Sidious : Their betrayal will be dealt with.
[sits down at his desk]
Darth Sidious : After you have killed all the Jedi in the Temple, go to the Mustafar system. Wipe out Viceroy Gunray and the other Separatist leaders.
Darth Sidious : Once more, the Sith will rule the galaxy! And...
[dramatically]
Darth Sidious : we shall have... peace.
[ends with an evil grin]

Mace Windu : [has Palpatine subdued] I am going to end to this, once and for all!
Anakin Skywalker : You can't. He must stand trial.
Mace Windu : He has control of the Senate and the courts. He's too dangerous to be left alive.
Supreme Chancellor : [exhausted and disfigured] I'm too weak. Oh, don't kill me. Please!
Anakin Skywalker : It's not the Jedi way. He must live!
Supreme Chancellor : [Windu ignores Anakin, still intending to kill Palpatine] Please don't!
Anakin Skywalker : I need him!
Supreme Chancellor : [Windu raises his lightsaber] Please don't!
Anakin Skywalker : NO!
[Anakin draws his own lightsaber, cutting off Windu's hand]
Supreme Chancellor : [as he electrocutes Windu] POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!

Supreme Chancellor : I know what's been troubling you. Listen to me. Don't continue to a be a pawn of the Jedi Council! Ever since I've known you, you've been searching for a life greater than that of an ordinary Jedi. A life of significance, of conscience.
[turns his back on Anakin]
Supreme Chancellor : Are you going to kill me?
Anakin Skywalker : I would certainly like to!
Supreme Chancellor : I know you would. I can feel your anger. It give you focus... makes you stronger.

[Obi-Wan regains consciousness while hanging precariously inside an elevator shaft underneath Anakin]
Anakin Skywalker : Easy! We're in a bit of a situation.
Obi-Wan Kenobi : Did I miss something?

Supreme Chancellor : [Anakin cuts off Dooku's hands ending the battle. Anakin catches Dooku's lightsabre and ignites it and puts both lightsabres to his neck] Good, Anakin, good. Kill him.
[Dooku looks at Palpatine in shock]
Supreme Chancellor : Kill him now.
Anakin Skywalker : I shouldn't...
Supreme Chancellor : Do it!
Anakin Skywalker : [Anakin decapitates Dooku]
Supreme Chancellor : You did well, Anakin. He was too dangerous to be kept alive.
Anakin Skywalker : Yes, but he was an unarmed prisoner.
[frees Chancellor Palpatine]
Anakin Skywalker : I shouldn't have done that. It's not the Jedi way.
Supreme Chancellor : [stands up, rubbing his wrists] It is only natural. He cut off your arm, and you wanted revenge. It wasn't the first time, Anakin. Remember what you told me about your mother and the Sand People.
[sound of sand people screaming in as if Anakin can still hear their death]
Supreme Chancellor : Now, we must leave before more security droids arrive.

Anakin Skywalker : [through a hologram projector] The Separatists have been taken care of, my master.
Darth Sidious : It is finished, then. You have restored peace and justice to the galaxy. Send a message to the ships of the Trade Federation. All droid units must shut down immediately.
Anakin Skywalker : Very good, my lord.

[Anakin has been appointed onto the council, but denied mastership]
Anakin Skywalker : I swear to you... I didn't ask to be put on the council.
Obi-Wan Kenobi : But it's what you wanted. Your friendship with Chancellor Palpatine seems to have paid off. Anakin, I am on your side. I didn't want to put you in this situation
Anakin Skywalker : What situation?
Obi-Wan Kenobi : The Council wants you to report on all the Chancellor's dealings. They want to know what he's up to.
Anakin Skywalker : They want me to spy on the Chancellor? But that's treason!
Obi-Wan Kenobi : We are at war, Anakin.

Obi-Wan Kenobi : [as he and Anakin walk into a room and find Chancellor Palpatine bound to a chair] Chancellor.

Anakin Skywalker : Are you all right?
Supreme Chancellor : Count Dooku.
[Anakin and Obi-Wan turn around to and see Count Dooku with two Super Battle Droids]
Obi-Wan Kenobi : This time we will do it together.
Anakin Skywalker : I was about to say that.
Supreme Chancellor : Get help. You're no match for him; he's a Sith Lord.
Obi-Wan Kenobi : Chancellor Palpatine, Sith Lords are our speciality.
[he and Anakin take off robes]
Count Dooku : Your swords, please. We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor.
Obi-Wan Kenobi : You won't get away this time, Dooku.
[he, Anakin, and Dooku ignite lightsabers and fight]
Count Dooku : I've been looking forward to this.
Anakin Skywalker : My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.
Count Dooku : Good. Twice the pride, double the fall.
[fights more]
Supreme Chancellor : [as Obi-Wan falls and gets back up, destroying the two droids and running toward Dooku] Get-
[Dooku uses the Force to choke Obi-Wan and throw him down the stairs]

Anakin Skywalker : Ray shields!
Obi-Wan : Wait a minute. How did this happen? We're smarter than this.
Anakin Skywalker : Apparently not. I say patience.
Obi-Wan : Patience?
Anakin Skywalker : Yes. R2 will be along in a few moments and then... he'll release the ray shields.
[R2 comes skidding across the hallway and bashes into the opposite wall]
Anakin Skywalker : See? No problem.
