After WW II, Partisan officer Petar Horvat and his girlfriend Ljiljana move into an apartment in Zagreb. Its owner is a young widow, Matilda Ivancic. Matilda soon starts to seduce Petar with her sophistication and sex appeal. This love affair between Petar and the bourgeois Matilda is considered unsuitable, and Peter is warned by his chiefs.—nixona
