- A female character is often shown scantily clad. Her backside and breasts are shown during two sex scenes.
- A woman's breasts are visible when she identified in a morgue, but the context is not sexual at all.

- A man drags a blood-soaked corpse to his car and puts it in the trunk. He is shown covered in blood as well.
- A man rides with his horse to a remote area, sets fire to a tree, and puts the barrel of a gun into his mouth to commit suicide. Instead, he shoots his horse (shown off-screen).
- The above events all take place in the first two minutes of screen time.
- A man attempts suicide by removing his life support systems in a hospital. Later the same man intentionally cuts himself using glass from a window, and severely injures another character with the same glass.
- A woman's battered body is shown in a morgue. There are several references to her having been stabbed fourteen times.

- A man is shown falling from the roof of a skyscraper to his death. There is a pool of blood under his head. It is revealed later that his death was murder, not suicide, and he is shown being dragged to the roof and thrown over the edge.
- A man stabs a woman in a fit of rage. A fair amount of blood is shown.
