Sultan : After a mere moment's deliberation, I have decided that this is a bad omen.
Grand Vizier : Do not trust him, Sultan!

Sultan : I trust you, Aladdin.
Aladdin's Mother : Your highness, may I present my son, Aladdin.

Sultan : Rise, young man, so that I might gaze upon you.

Grand Vizier : Your highness, this is nothing but a common street person. Obviously not a suitable husband for the princess!

Sultan : Yes, I too have my reservations.
Sultan : These are the most amazing jewels I have ever seen! And big! Very big.
Sultan : Oh, Aladdin! How was your journey? You were missed, my son.

Aladdin : Speaking of missing, have you seen my palace?

Sultan : [laughs] Oh, how you amuse me! Your palace is where it has always been, right over there.

[looks]

Sultan : Well, it was there this morning. What have you done with your palace, Aladdin?
Sultan : Grand Vizier, look at this! It goes round and round forever, yet the dog never catches the cat! Baffling... and truly entertaining!

Grand Vizier : Quite.
Sultan : This is all most confusing! And you said it occurred last night?

Princess Sabrina : Yes, Father, it was wonderful!

Grand Vizier : It was horrible!

Princess Sabrina : He was so kind and handsome, and we talked.

Grand Vizier : He was huge, he was ruthless! He picked me up and threw me into the sky--I thought I would die!

Sultan : Are we talking about the same fellow?

Princess Sabrina , Grand Vizier : No!

Sultan : Oh I see.
