  • The whole film leads up to a very violent outburst where people get tortured and murdered by an angry mob after being falsely accused of being communists.

  • The film's tone is very realistic and many scenes carry a very tense atmosphere that makes it very unsettling to watch. This is specially carried out further by the fact that, at times, the film feels almost like a documentary or even more so like a horror film.

Violence & Gore

  • The film centers around the event leading (and eventually reaching) a public lynching to a group of university workers who were accused of being communists. Altho the actual event is very obscured, you can see the violent mob torturing the men in very brutal fashion.
  • During the lynching sequence, there are instances of characters being repeatedly hit on the head with wooden planks, other having arms and legs broken. In one instance a character gets his fingers cut off.
