Veteran music engineer and producer Andy Johns died in Los Angeles over the weekend. He was 61.
During his illustrious career, Johns -- whose brother and nephew, respectively, are fellow producers Glyn Johns and Ethan Johns -- worked on such classic albums as Led Zeppelin's "II," the Rolling Stones' "Sticky Fingers" and Joni Mitchell's "Shadows and Light," Variety.com reports.
According to CNN, Johns was hospitalized late last month. The cause of his death is still unknown.
Born in Surrey, England, Johns began his decades-long career as a tape operator at the famed Olympic Studios in London, where he worked on sessions for the Jimi Hendrix Experience's "Axis: Bold as Love."

Ready, Set, Fund is a column about crowdfunding and related fundraising endeavors for Austin and Texas independent film projects.
It's not often that biographical documentaries portray lesser-known behind-the-scenes movie professionals, but novelist and film journalist Joe O'Connell is capturing key player Gary Kent in his film project Love & Other Stunts, which is currently funding on Indiegogo through Wednesday, February 27. Kent has contributed to over 100 films in his 50-plus years in the film industry as a stuntman, actor, director, and writer. He's been a stunt double for Jack Nicholson and Robert Vaughan and was stunt coordinator for Richard Rush's Hell’s Angels On Wheels and Don Coscarelli's Bubba Ho-tep, as well as acting in noir Westerns such as The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind.
Love & Other Stunts covers not only Kent's film career, but his personal life from the release of his memoir Shadows and Light: Journeys...

Yesterday we got preliminary details on the forthcoming December 4 release of The Dark Knight Rises on DVD and Blu-ray and tonight Warner Home Video has officially released the full list of features and cover art for the DVD and Blu-ray releases along with the cover art for a Blu-ray boxset for what they're referring to as The Dark Knight Trilogy. I have included all of the artwork for all three releases directly below and on the second page, along with the full features list for the Blu-ray release. As of now no specific feature list was listed for the Trilogy boxset, which leads me to believe they will match the features included on the previously released editions of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight along with the features listed below for The Dark Knight Rises. As of now, Amazon is not yet taking preorders for the releases, but the Msrp...
