Paul Wegener is a typical director of actors and actresses, not a film(ic) director. Taking that into account, we see a static, but superb, subtle and fast-paced comedy that solely rests on the brilliant dialogue and situation; there are a couple of beautiful turns in the plot to keep entertaining. The cast is splendid (how could it be else with Wegener directing), but outstanding is Käthe von Nagy (where have these kind of ravissant and intelligent women gone?), showing all her talents and temperament.
