I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more faithful adaptation of a property from one medium to another. Apart from the fact Penny Dreadful works incredibly well in comic book form anyway, having always been a very visual show, these issues could be happily used as the storyboards for the TV show. It obviously helps that one of the creative guiding lights of the sow, Chris King, is the writer and ‘show runner’ for this title. He does a superb job and, as a huge fan of the show, I couldn’t be more impressed with how this book has been planned and published.

After a rocky start to its seventh season, Suits returned to its working formula in “Divide and Conquer.” When a rival firm threatened Pearson Specter Litt, everyone put aside their differences and worked together to pull off the win. Harvey Specter was finally recognizable as his usual, cocky-yet-lovable self; and Gina Torres’ Jessica Pearson made […]...

On this episode of Suits, "Divide and Conquer," Harvey, Louis and Donna work together to fight off an attack from the outside, Oliver turns to Mike for help and Rachel questions if she's ready for marriage.
It's beginning to look suspiciously like Rachel's and Mike's wedding may never happen. She takes her father to Harvey's to get his input, but even though Robert isn't a fan of the venue, he's more concerned as to why Rachel hasn't been more pro-active about wedding planning. He suspects something is up, but Rachel swears that she and her fianc?? are just really busy getting their career off their ground. Robert asks his daughter that if she can't make time to focus on her wedding, how does he expect to make time to focus on her marriage?...

…there’s only two episodes left this season—three, if you count the Christmas special—and there just seems to me to be an awful lot to be discovered yet. I don’t want to think that Moffat is coasting his way to the end of his association with Doctor Who; he hasn’t yet disappointed me. I loved the denouement of last season, so I’m still crossing my fingers—but…
That’s from last week’s column, in which I bemoaned my disappointment in Doctor Who this season. Then, on Saturday night, came the eleventh episode, “World Enough and Time.”
Wow! And also Holy Cow!
I really, really don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, so do not expect any mention of the story. I’m even struggling right now as to whether or not to include some of the dialogue…...

Michael Davis wrote this election day column for ComicMix, which we published on election day, which was yesterday. It’s a very powerful piece, one of the more important we’ve run in the past 10 years. After I read it, I put aside my plans to wax poetic about the Doctor Strange movie. There’s always time to do that. If you have yet to read Michael’s column, I urge you to do so.
I will say this: I’ve known Michael for the better part of 30 years. We have talked a lot. He had never shared that story with me.
And some people say nothing good came out of Donald Trump’s campaign.
What he was talking about, if I might be allowed to define it, is the strategic concept of “divide and conquer.” Often attributed to Philip II of Macedon, it means exactly what it says. Instead...

Dana Walden and Gary Newman's new role as the leaders of Fox Broadcasting means they'll be in a position to greenlight shows produced by 20th Century Fox Television — the studio they co-chair. It might seem like a conflict of interest, but they promise not to abuse their power by favoring Fox shows over those produced by other studios. Also read: Dana Walden, Gary Newman Share Plan to Lead Studio and Network: ‘Divide and Conquer’ “The best shows are going to win,” Walden said on a Monday conference call. There is one exception, she said: When two shows are equally good,...

Dana Walden and Gary Newman have a plan to manage both Fox's broadcast network and their studio: “Divide and conquer,” as the latter put it on a Monday conference call. Per an earlier announcement, Walden and Newman will oversee a new business unit, Fox Television Group, which combines Fox Broadcasting Company and 20th Century Fox Television. They'll start the new dual gig on July 28. Any additional restructuring on the broadcast side has yet to be determined, Walden told reporters in the call that followed: “What we'd really like to do is spend some time over there, immerse ourselves in the.

Husker Du: Divide And Conquer (September, 1985)
Well, they divided up all the land
We’ve got states and cities
Cities have their neighborhoods
And more subdivisions
There’s countries divided by walls
Oceans and latitude
And longitude, longing to find out
Just what they’re missing
There’s lots of area codes
And nine digit zip codes
Secret decoder ring codes
Arteries, shopping nodes
We’ll invent some new computers
Link up the global village
And get AP, Upi, Reuters
To tell everybody the news
We’ll be one happy neighborhood
Spread out across the world
Who’s going to stop that burglar
From breaking into my house
If he lives that far away
We’ll be just like old friends
No means to your ends
The police state is too busy
And the neighborhood’s getting out of hand
Big Brother on every wall
Muzak plays in all the...

Fox has put in development, Ball & Chain, a drama written/executive produced by Peter Ocko (Fairly Legal) and executive produced by Steve McPherson through Lionsgate TV. The project, which falls under McPherson’s first-look deals at Fox and Lionsgate, centers on two ex-operatives with screwed up personal lives who are set up by their intelligence agency to become romantically entangled and run missions as a team. Ocko, repped by Vision Art, has comedy pilot Divide and Conquer at USA. Fox also has bought a comedy project from Andrew Gurland and Justin Hurwitz, creators of the network’s half-hour pilot The Gabriels last season. Like The Gabriels, the new project, also produced by 20th TV, is based on Hurwitz’s life, but instead of his childhood, it involves his early adulthood. It centers on a brother and sister who develop an adult relationship that wreaks havoc on everyone else around them.

For most of this week’s Grey’s Anatomy, Alex dodges Jo so completely and totally that she becomes all but convinced that he’s dumping her. (Seeing as she passes her intern exam without even a “Way to go!” from her boyfriend, I can’t say I blame her!) But by the end of the hour, she probably wishes he had just dumped her, because… well, keep reading. I’ll fill in the blanks.

This week’s episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned starts where most episodes end: with buckets of blood. And I mean literally buckets, as blood is dripping everywhere. Clean up on Aisle 5! Spartacus and Agron inspect the dead bodies of the fallen Romans. Spartacus seems sad that so many died so uselessly, and orders Nasir to clean the blood off of the bodies and to salt them. Spartacus tells Agron, “They may yet serve some purpose.” Hmm. Salt is a preservative. Is Spartacus holding on to the dead Romans in case food shortages get so bad the rebels have to go all Donner Party on the corpses? Seriously, what is Spartacus up to?
As for our two favorite power gays—really, they are the Neil Patrick and David of the ancient world—there is still clear tension between them in the wake of last week’s Castus-gate. Nasir tries...

I am officially obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I admit it. I've waxed nostalgic before, and I've also praised the new iteration of the cartoon.
Now, 25 years after the original series premiered on TV, every single episode is being released on DVD, in an awesome box set shaped like the TurtleVan (aka The Party Wagon).
In honor of one of the greatest cartoons of my generation, I've picked my favorite episode from each season. Sit back, gorge on some pizza, and recollect why you loved "Tmnt" in the first place.
Season 1 (1987) -- "Enter The Shredder"
The second episode of the show is a doozy, as we're introduced to evil mastermind Krang and the wandering Technodrome. We also get to see the mysterious Dimension X for the first time. Shredder fiddles around with the mutagen at the Bronx Zoo, and as a result, creates Bebop and Rocksteady -- unfortunately for him,...

Farewell, Donna Paulsen?
Last Thursday's Suits episode dropped a bombshell on viewers, as everyone's favorite legal secretary was given the boot from Pearson/Hardman. For good?
We doubt it. But TV Fanatic Round Table panelists Chandel Charles, Carla Day, Carissa Pavlica and Nick McHatton are here to break down all aspects on "Break Point." Gather around and join in!
-------------------------------------------
What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Chandel: Probably the part where Rachel took Louis the signed tennis ball to make him feel better. I know it's good for Louis to be recognized, even if he likely wouldn't prefer that recognition be in a time of need like the loss of his beloved cat. Either way, we don't really see that much interaction between Rachel and Louis, so that was also nice to see.
Carla: As heartbreaking as it was the best scene and one that will stick with...
