About the Danish philosopher, theologian, poet, social critic, and author Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855), his life, thoughts and works. He is widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher. Kierkegaard's central writing on religion was "Fear and Trembling", and "Either/Or" is considered to be his magnum opus. The film forms a whole, but can be divided into five sections or themes, each lasting about half an hour: 1) The unhappy and views on the authorship 2) The citizen, the child and Don Juan 3) Silence and aesthetics 4) Society and the paradox 5) Martyrdom and devotion.
