In the UK in the 1990s, bodybuilding was a freak pursuit – the domain of weirdos who painted themselves with Ronseal and stretched tiny Lycra hammocks across acres of skin the texture of an Arbroath Smokie in an attempt to resemble Marvel’s The Thing. Seasoned agent and commercial exec Ian Moffitt has joined Img’s studios business in London after exiting BBC Studios.
Moffitt, a former senior agent at ICM Partners and Head of Original Programming at Yahoo, left the BBC’s production and sales wing a few months back, leaving a role as Commercial Director.
He now takes on a newly-created role as Senior VP of Business Development at Endeavor-owned Img, working closely with VP and Business Development Director, Jo Ormston and reporting to Executive VP, Studios, Barney Francis. He’ll be based at Img’s Stockley Park, London office.
Sports giant Img produces live coverage of the English Premier League and English Football League, Mls, the UEFA Champions League and Europa League for CBS, The Ryder Cup, World’s Strongest Man, World Championship Snooker and Grand Slam tennis among others. “The Righteous Gemstones” has added new members to its congregation for Season 3. Stephen Dorff, Shea Whigham, Iliza Shlesinger, Casey Wilson and four other actors are set to appear in this new season in recurring roles. The HBO comedy will premiere its first two episodes on Sunday, June 18 at 10/9c p.m.
Dorff and Whigham appeared in the Season 3 teaser but were not formally introduced. We now know that they will be playing two characters named Vance Simkins and Dusty Daniels.
Additionally, this season will star Lukas Haas (“Inception”) as Chuck, Robert Oberst (“World’s Strongest Man”) as Karl, Stephen Schneider as Stephen, comedian Iliza Shlesinger as Shay Marigold, Sturgill Simpson (“The Hunt”) as Marshall and Casey Wilson (“Gone Girl”) as Kristy, all in recurring roles. They will join the previously announced Steve Zahn (“War for the Planet of the Apes”) as Peter Montgomery and Kristen Johnston (“Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”) as May-May.
