Is it live or is it Eurythmorex?
GroovyDoom6 August 2001
This is a strange little film/video that captures Eurythmics live in what appears to be somebody's living room. We never get a clear glimpse of the venue or the audience, although there are plenty of zealous fans crowded around the foot of the stage.

Eurythmics, never a band to pass up the opportunity to do something visually arresting, have created a series of staged scenes to link the segments of the concert together, opening with a bizarre set piece that depicts a trance-like pre-concert preparation taking place inside a giant crucifix structure. Possibly out of artistic pretense or the desire to upstage the Talking Heads film "Stop Making Sense," there are a series of curious insert shots placed throughout the concert that seem to come out of nowhere--pay close attention to the conclusion of one of the numbers, "Let's Go," at which point the director inserts a fleeting glimpse of backup singer Joniece Jamison clutching a (live?) snake instead of her microphone.

The material spans Eurythmics career between "Sweet Dreams (1982)" and "Revenge (1987)". Most of the expected numbers are performed, along with some album cuts that should please the die-hard fans. Also notable as a recorded document of Annie's legendary "red bra", which she appears in for the encore. Not to be missed!
