- [examining the computer monitors that fill Dr. Rothman's laboratory]
- Frank Turi: You use quite a bit of video equipment.
- Dr. Phillip Rothman: I moonlight. I tape weddings on the side.
- [Frank opens the freezer and discovers that Ted has been decapitated]
- Frank Turi: Where is his head?
- [Dr. Rothman opens a closet revealing Ted's head in a jar of liquid]
- Dr. Phillip Rothman: Ted was kind enough to leave me his brain. I don't care about the rest of him.

- [David is playing a video game that uses graphics similar to those in Dr. Rothman's experiments]
- Mother: David. David! David, do you hear me? Dinner is ready! Come down here right now!
- [David turns with a demonic look on his face]
- Twelve year old boy: I'll be right there, *Mother*!
- Laurie Stevens: I work for Dr. Rothman. I like him. He's brilliant.
- Frank Turi: He's got a lot of brains, that's for sure. A whole roomful.
- Dr. Phillip Rothman: Why didn't you tell me what was going on?
- Wrightnour: Don't kid yourself, you *knew*.
- Dr. Phillip Rothman: [learns several tests subjects have committed murder or suicide] Did you know about this?
- Wrightnour: Of course not, nothing showed up in the rats.
- Dr. Phillip Rothman: Rats are not *people*!
