Eastenders give up the pub for the drugs trade.
Surprised to see no reviews on this Sky series from 2000, maybe nobody watched it. If that was the case they missed a reasonably decent crime drama which reunites two well known British soap actors, Leslie Grantham & Anita Dobson. They played a husband and wife team in Eastenders running a pub and are now a husband and wife team in the drugs trade. While Grantham is banged up for murder Dobson 'reluctantly' takes over the buisiness until Grantham is acquitted a year or two later. It is the usual fare of drug deals, double crossing, corrupt police, and violence. While the leads won't win any acting awards it is a decent crime romp, although it doesn't add any thing new to the genre.
As an interesting extra the music score was written by Brian May of Queen, who just happens to be married to Anita Dobson.
