Taxi!!!! Warning: Spoilers
In this short, Max is the shame of the family, he's a heavy boozer with not a dime in his pocket, his father throws him out. Max finds an invitation to a dancing party and messes around (Peter Sellers, did you see that one?). Max finally works as a cab driver, but with no experience. Enjoy Max and his acrobaties.

Warning: Spoilers
The film begins with Max and a friend out after an evening of heavy drinking. Seeing them hitching up a horse backwards and taking it home is certainly very memorable! Once home, his father disowns him for his riotous lifestyle and Max is hungry. So, to get a free meal, the dapper Max drops by a party--getting a chance to gorge as well as meeting a nice lady. Later, however, when he's forced to get a job as a cabbie, he meets up with this lady and her mother--and he doesn't want them to know that he's only a cab driver--which leads to disastrous results.

I've seen quite a few of Max Linder's comedies and think this is among his best that exist today. It has a decent amount of laughs and Linder is at his best--being very agile and physical in this little film. The way he smoothly moves about is quite impressive. Now I am not saying the film is perfect--the story seems a bit choppy and I think this is due to the print being less than perfect. At times, it seems like portions of the film are missing--as sometimes the transitions seem to be absent.
