In the late 70' Steven Spielberg could do no wrong, so, after Close Encounters, he joined up with John Milius and the two Bobs (Bob Gale and Bob Zemeckis) to make a huge-budgeted film about the reactions of the US west cost just after Pearl Harbor. The result is 1941, a film which tanked, however, like almost all star-filled comedies (It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, for example) are among my favorite films.
This documentary (from some of the comments made, this was produced for the laserdisc version of this film) is the result. Everyone looks so young, but the memories - combined with home movie footage - are priceless. If you like behind the scenes stories, this is extraordinary.
Don't look for the stars too much (which is a shame, because so many of them have since died), this is all about the production itself (writing special effects, casting, directing and producing). Highly recommended.
