The line "For over 50 years" in the opening monolith implies the WWF was founded in 1945, when it was actually founded by Jess McMahon in 1953 as the Capital Wrestling Corporation, before his son Vincent J. McMahon broke it away from the National Wrestling Alliance in 1963 to become the World Wide Wrestling Federation.
When Diesel collides with the ring post, one of the ringside photographers no-sells and gets up apparently unharmed, after Diesel lands directly on top of him. The original plan was for Diesel to fall onto the corner ring steps, but Michaels led him into the wrong corner, which had no steps.
Special referee Roddy Piper ended the "I Quit" match prematurely, as Bob Backlund never actually said the words "I quit".
The Diesel vs Shawn Michaels match is supposed to end with Diesel slingshotting Shawn's face into the top metal turnbuckle exposed by Sid, setting up the storyline that Sid caused Michaels to lose the match. However, in executing the slingshot spot, Shawn's head misses the exposed top turnbuckle completely, hitting the covered middle turnbuckle instead.
On the first attempt right after the opening match, Nicholas Turturro's interview from the green room had no audio on the live broadcast. That interview segment finally aired with audio after the Intercontinental title match.
