One of the better Turkish films.

I've seen a couple of these movies made from Turkey, and I think this was one of the better ones to watch from the country. A lot of the other ones are either copies of already existing properties or really low budget production. This one I think is low budget, but they knew what they were making cause the story is about this office dullard who assumes he has 6 months to live so he changes his employee status at work and risks his life by carrying around a time bomb and play Russian Roulette.

I only watch this in Turkish with no subtitles so I had no idea what all the characters were saying. I only understood most of what is happening. The weirdest parts would have to be the main character urinating in that one guy's potted plant. And the grand opening of a public restroom where over 30 men were eager to use the new urinals and all got in line to use them.

I apologize for this sounding weird, but if I knew a little Turkish, I'd be less confused by this film. If you're looking for a good film from Turkey, then this one is one of the best ones from the country.

First of all,if you are Turkish and didn't see this movie, I bow to you,for its most certain that you don't watch TV like rest of the world and thus,keep your mind clean.

Well,this movie is great.Why? Because it's not like majority of Kemal Sunal movies.It has more than a funny looking guy running around calling people "You son of a donkey!". Clever one-liners,mind blowing situations,well written characters...(Well, the nurse can't be count as one, I think she was producer's girlfriend or something.)

The movie is about a guy(Mulayim Sert-even the name is funny,you can translate it as "Gentle Tough") who thinks he has only 6 months to live and tries to kill himself in some really weird ways. I don't want to spoil the movie by writing more about it, you have to see it yourself! If you don't speak Turkish try to watch this movie with a Turkish speaking person because some jokes are extremely culture specific.

as a result of a confusion in hospital, Mulayim Sert, a common guy with almost no hope for life, learns that he shall die within 6 months... There starts the chain of absurd and funny events in our hero's life who becomes a fearless person...

Unfortunately, high fluency in Turkish is needed to duly comprehend this movie I guess, since no subtitle will successfully reflect the dialogs between characters...

My favorite from the movie: Building a huge toilet complex with the money earned from lottery, only to tell people that any fortune coming in an inappropriate time will belong to toilet. (our hero is inspired by a Turkish idiom)

Highly recommended masterpiece...

Also the nicknames of people in this movie deserves special attention...

"Kazim the Amorti" "Mulayim the Bomber" "Abbas the Bear" "Hamdi the Stupid" (roughly translated)

any non-Turk with an upper-intermediate Turkish knowledge will learn a lot from this movie about the Turkish sense of absurd humor...

epic movie / the best of absurd comedies

This movie is my favorite one among kemal sunal movies, it is the king of absurd comedy and almost every line in the movie is unique and well thought. This movie is a work of art and it is sad to see such movies does not exist anymore

Best ever comedy

The movie is about a simple office man named Mulayim who is short of money most time. He in fact also is taken advantage by others due to his good intention. Story of the movie simply begins when he learns that he has a short time to live ahead which results from mishandled test results and delivered to his doctor. Then he feels no point of caring much of what he does as he used to be and having to mind issues of any kind. As such, he wouldn't mind risking himself by holding a timed bomb while enjoying others scared and seeing them running away! Funnily, he approaches one of them and asks 'Recai, what is your time, it seems this bomb is incorrectly fixed. if you tell me your time then I can correct it' :), which is a real fun and laughter to watch. He also overrides his superiors in office even against a gang who extort the boss. The Russian roulette scene as a fun with the gang head is a real laughter:) Since he sees no meaning to wait to death, he hires an enigmatic but sharp-mannered killer to decease himself on such funny conditions like being killed with bullets clean, not being killed on rainy weather :). Then, the nurse who caused confusion in handling the test finds the cause and then is assigned to find Mulayim. She finds him but now they need to find the killer he hired and undo the job! but how. If you want to laugh to tears most ever in your life time, then you are at where you should stop by and watch! Enjoy:D
