For the 1989 Brit Awards, producer Jonathan King decided to ditch the normal presenters, the steady hands on the ship were regarded as being deemed to be too safe and boring and soon realised that by replacing them with Mick Fleetwood and Samantha Fox was a big mistake.
For a start Fleetwood was too tall and Fox was short and they certainly appeared to be odd. They were also not presenting professionals that the former Radio 1 DJs such as Noel Edmonds were.
As soon as the show started it was a shambles, things went wrong, nothing seemed to have been rehearsed and the presentation was incompetent.
The entire show has entered the hall of shame and it was well deserved.
