Sex & Nudity

  • In episode 34, a bunch of bullies try to remove a girl's clothes, but are stopped.
  • In episodes 31-46, a boy frequently flirts with a girl. At one point, while sitting up in a tree, he spies her changing her clothes but claims not to have seen anything.
  • In episode 77, some characters go swimming and Stear and Archie are seen shirtless.
  • This anime series tends to have scenes of mild romantic affairs. In some episodes, characters can be seen flirting with each other.
  • In episode 3, Candy would get mad at a boy, who tends to urinate on his bed. There are references to this in several further episodes.
  • In episode 9, two guys kiss Candy's hands, causing her to blush.

  • This list refers to the scenes of "violence" as they appear throughout the series. This list may contain some minor spoilers for some episodes, but major spoilers are marked:

  • Most of the scenes of "violence" being listed below are very mild, and shouldn't be considered as being harmful to children at all.
  • In episode 1, Candice (Candy) gets into a fight with a young boy, until an another character stops them.
  • In episode 2, Candy and Annie are about to get dragged away by a maelstrom, until two men save them from a drowning to death. Also, Candy slaps Annie in the face, during an argument.
  • In episode 4, a boy is hitting a goat for eating a letter.
  • In episode 5, Candy threatens to make Neil fall down from a house, using a rope she'd got. Dorothy gets a cat thrown on her face. Candy gets into a fight with Neil and Eliza.
  • In many episodes later on, Candy often gets exposed to various pranks set up by Neil and Eliza, only to get blamed and scolded for incidents she never did herself. Also, yelling, arguments and screaming between characters also tend to occur several times throughout.
  • In episode 6, Candy tries to chase away a cat with a broom. Her raccoon tries to chase it afterward, causing stuff to get destroyed. Also, Candy gets bullied by Neil and Eliza for some letters and a pendant.
  • In episode 11, Neil makes a small scratch on a horse, causing the horse to run away with Annie riding on it. Later, Candy fights Neil for this incident.
  • In episode 12, Neil's hand is seen with scratches. Anthony gives Neil a punch. Candy sitting on a boat is dragged by a downstream which leads her to a waterfall. Anthony slaps Candy in the face.
  • In episode 13, Neil and Eliza attempt to poison two horses, until a male stranger attacks them. We hear several gun shots, indicating some people want to shoot a certain man.
  • In episode 14, several people try to take several children down from a tree.
  • In episode 15, Eliza whips a horse, causing it to run away. A man bursts into a mansion, threatening to shoot a man dead.
  • In episode 16, there are a few drawings, implying how cruel bandits could be in Mexico. Anthony, Archie and Stear beat up Neil, covered over with a bed sheet.
  • In episode 17, a Mexican man hits Candy overall two times. A baby gets exposed to fever.
  • Episode 19 has a few mild chase sequences.
  • In episode 20, Candy steps on Neil's foot.
  • In episode 21, Eliza almost collides with a boy and his horse, falls off her horse and gets hurt. Two male characters punch and fight each other.
  • In episode 22, several people fall off their horses during rodeo.
  • In episode 26, Candy gets bullied by a young boy, by also getting a rose, and later mud thrown on her.
  • In episode 27, several people chase Candy and Jimmy. A man once tries to aim his rifle at said characters, but Mr. Cartwright stops him from doing it.
  • In episode 29, Jimmy throws a small stone on a man. He gets a fever later in the episode. Sister Lane slaps Candy.
  • In episode 30, a seagull is injured. A tidal wave wipes out a fishing boat, leading to a rescue mission. A ship captain mentions how his son died.
  • In episode 31, a man shoots at Kurin the raccoon, who is revealed to just playing dead.
  • In episode 34, Candy slaps Eliza over a prank involving a letter. Three boys try to violate Candy until another boy shows up. Terry hits Archie in the face.
  • In episode 37, Terry has been in fight, hench we see him injured with some little blood visible.
  • In episode 38, Terry threatens Candy to tear her into pieces if his secret is told to anybody, and threatens a woman to "turn her pork-face into something uglier. Candy falls down some stairs and gets a bruise, upon getting a bad memory.
  • In episode 39, Eliza falls into a pit.
  • In episode 42, Terry and Archie fight over an argument regarding America.
  • In episode 44, two men play out a scene in which a man is killed during a sword fight. Terry forces Candy into a horse ride.
  • In episode 45, Terry saves Eliza from drowning. Eliza hits Candy with a bouquet of flowers.
  • In episode 46, Terry and Archie have a sword duel, and later fight each other with kicks and punches. Terry saves Archie from falling objects. A plane crashes, but the pilot is uninjured. Candy and Terry slap each other.
  • In episode 48, after Terry gets punched by Archie, a small stream of blood can briefly be seen outside Terry's mouth.
  • In episode 50, Candy gets attacked and bullied by a gang of four boys.
  • In episode 52, Candy is chased by a man who wants to sell her. A little girl gets sick.
  • In episode 53, a little girl gets measles. A man calls a doctor "a murderer", and throws him on a table. A man is pushed away. A man throws a stone through a window, and runs berserk with a hay fork. A man chases a doctor with a tree log.
  • In episode 55, Cookie tells Candy that they'd be hanged or repatriated if they're caught, prior to sneaking on a boat. Cookie is thrown into the sea by several sailors, but is saved later.
  • In episode 56, Cookie gets spanked by a sailor. Two people get hurt during a violent storm. Cookie attempts to jump into the sea for suicide, but gets saved only to get slapped by a captain.
  • Episode 57 has a few scenes of mild violence. We can see a large bruise on Cookie's right foot, as a result of the previous episode's events. Candy nearly gets attacked by a street gang. A raccoon bits a man's arm. A boy hold his knife in front of Candy's face. Sandra slaps Candy. A man slaps his daughter. A man attempts to attack a man with his knife, but gets hindered.
  • In episode 59, a little girl named Daisy suffers from a disease ("Hemophilia"). In one scene, we see her bleeding from one of her feet.
  • In episode 61, a man appears to be in pain when his wound is being sewed. In one "past sequence", a war scene shows several people being dead or injured. A dead horse can be seen as well.
  • In episode 63, Candy saves an old lady from being run over by a horse wagon.
  • In episode 64, a girl patient is shown to have heart problems, but we learn she is okay afterward.
  • In episode 67, Candy imagines a war breaking out, and people running for their lives. It is mentioned Europe is ready for a war. A man suffers from a sickness.
  • In episode 71, a man is beaten up by several men. Several children attack two men. A man says that if a certain ship has crashed and sunk, many people would have died.
  • In episode 72, a girl smashes a piano.
  • In episode 73, a newly broken out war is constantly talked about. A man is mentioned to have been murdered. A MacBeth play has a staged sword kill.
  • In many episodes later on, there will be references to war, as well as some war images.
  • In episode 74, a young boy's hand has been burnt.
  • In episode 76, Archie nearly attacks Neil during a group argument.
  • In episode 77, Candy risks her life by climbing down a high tower on rope. A drawing shows a man getting exposed to a war explosion, while the next drawing shows several people being dead or injured.
  • In episode 78, a nurse mentions about an accident in which a bus has crushed into some cars, leaving some people injured.
  • In episode 80, a young boy has a wounded knee.
  • In episode 81, a man talks about bullet holes. A man falls off a train and is sent to the operating room. A nurse almost faints from the amount of blood, but it is not shown. A few war images.
  • In episode 82, a male patient throws stuff at Franny the nurse. A man holds a scalpel, with a wish to kill Neil and Eliza. A flashback scene shows a boy having a fight with his mother.
  • In episode 84, a woman has a prosthetic foot, as a result of losing a foot in a war zone. There are lots of references to war as well.
  • In episode 86, a train is seen having been bombed. A man is injured upon saving a skunk.
  • In episode 88, an airplane explodes. No death, the scene is mostly made for some laugh.
  • In episode 89, a car crashes into a tree. No death, the scene is mostly made for some laugh.
  • In episode 90, Mr. Albert gets into a fight with two men. A man gets overall two punches on his face.
  • In episode 91, a girl is said to have died in Italy. Neil gets bullied by several guys. A man attampts to punch Neil, when Candy shows up and gets into a fight with the bullies.
  • In episode 92, a man mentions about having seen his wife and son burn to death.
  • In episode 102, Candy gets into a fight with a young boy, and we see her injury on her right hand afterward.
  • In episode 103, a wagon train gets exposed to falling rocks, and some explosions taking place above. A man punches a man in the face. A man is seen injured after an explosion, and we see little blood and bruises on the man's face.
  • In episode 104, two men have a violent fight. We can briefly see little blood, just when a barrel hits a man on the head, killing him instantly. Candy scares a man, by showing him a scalpel, and mentions about cutting open his head.
  • In episode 105, Candy gets chased by several people and a dog. A dog gets ill and gets threatment.
  • In episode 110, a car driven by Neil crashes into a light post. Neil appears to be hurt, but is okay.
  • In episode 112, a young drunk man tries to hit another man several times, but he dodges. The other man then punches him - a total of ten times - until he falls unconscious.

  • Some episodes have some very mild language.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In some episodes, somebody will be seen smoking on either a pipe, tobacco or some cigars. Somebody will also be seen drinking stuff like wine, whiskey or beer, but in a few rare times, we will get to see some people being heavily drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This anime series tends to have dramatic scenes, which often deal with moments like: Pranks done by Neil and Eliza, death, bullying, hospitality and war. Several scenes have some sad moments as well. However, this anime can be watched by children, since most of these scenes are very mild.

Sex & Nudity

  • In episode 46, Stear gives Terry some kisses. Later, Archie mentions to Stear about "fawning over Terry". Terry gives Candy a passionate kiss.
  • In episode 61, a woman gives birth to a child.

Violence & Gore

  • Episode 18 is a little bit violent, and deals with bandits who kidnap children and sell them to European people. A rattlesnake bites a man's right arm, but the poison is sucked out. A man is revealed to have been shot in his left arm, hence we see his bloody hand later. Several people use their guns to shoot at two characters. A man reveals himself as a cold-blooded killer. Candy gets kidnapped by a man in car.
  • In episode 24, A horse ridden by Anthony almost runs over a couple of foxes, and gets exposed to a bear trap. Anthony falls down from the horse. We later learn in episode 25 that Anthony has died..
  • In episode 32, Eliza calls Candy a murderer, due to Anthony's death.
  • In episode 47, Mr. Grandchester hits his son. Candy is locked into a tower, after being set up by Eliza for some reasons.
  • In episode 68, a man dies on his wheelchair.
  • In episode 69, a dog attacks a man, and we see his wounded arm afterward. Several men attempt to shoot and kill the dog. A man aims his rifle at a dog, but is prevented from doing so, and thus the dog is okay.
  • In episode 83, a boy is mentioned to have died by a lung disease. A young boy's mother appears to be in pain after taking wrong medicine, but is okay afterward.
  • In episode 94, a boy blames a "lousy doctor for murdering his father". Candy attempts to jump off a train for some documents. A little girl named Carrie is saved from a certain deadly disease.
  • Episode 95 has a brief reference to suicide. Susanna Marlowe sacrifices herself for Terry, and gets hit by some falling searchlights. We later learn that her right leg had to be amputated.
  • In episode 99, Susanna attempts to jump into suicide, but Candy prevents her from doing it.
  • In episode 100, Candy faints two times overall. Mr. Albert gets hit by a car.
  • In episode 101, a flashback sequence shows how Mr. Albert and his skunk got exposed to an explosion.
  • In episode 106, a woman is revealed to having killed a drunk man, who tried to hit a baby.
  • In episode 109, several children play war games. Jimmy shoots his rifle, causing several cows to run away. Candy slaps Jimmy. The same cows are later seen dead.
  • In episode 113, a man is seen having been shot during an air combat, with some blood on his body. A man on his plane gets shot, and we see some blood on him before his death.
