- The ending of this movie - despite having a happy conclusion - is bittersweet to many viewers. The end credits play over a somewhat melancholy tune also which some sensitive viewers may find sad.
- In the middle of the film is a musical number done in the style of aboriginal cave drawings that recalls the story of the Bunyip, an Australian equivalent to Bigfoot. Most of this sequence involves various forest animals running from the creature in terror. The song, which warns us: 'So you better come home quickly and you better hide very soon or the Bunyip's going to get you" could be quite scary for younger kids as is the image of the Bunyip itself, an unsettling blob of white fur with large teeth and claws and a nasty roar.
