There isn't much to say about "El Fantasma del Lago". The title of the movie misleads to think about it as a Horror movie but the truth is that this is a Drama with some Fantasy/Mystery elements.
Hugo Stiglitz once again stars as a badass and hero at the same time. He delivers a solid performance as always and he may be the best thing about the movie.
"El Fantasma del Lago" however shines on the visuals aspect. The locations are very good and atmospheric. The dark cinematography used in daytime exteriors makes the movie look creepy. Sadly, the events aren't even for a cheesy Horror movie.
My advice is , don't watch this movie. The title may sound interesting but the sad truth is that it has little to do with a ghost or anything like that. This is more of a Western...
