Plot:

Federal Agent Jack Bauer can't afford to always play by the rules. As a member of the L.A. Counter Terrorist Unit, Jack must stop bombs, viruses, assassination attempts, and usually save someone he cares about at the same time. Every season of this series has 24 episodes, each unfolding in real time following a consecutive hour in one very bad day.

Trivialidades:

Jack's last name came from a character we've seen in "La Femme Nikita" (1997) (Peter Bauer, #1.06). The famous split screen we see in 24 was used on La Femme Nikita #1.03 and Jack's motto "whatever it takes" is said by Michael and Madeleine in the first season of La Femme Nikita.

Errores:

Continuidad: In the Season 5 episode where president Logan intends to send his wife to a mental hospital, he decides the last moment to change his mind and pick up his wife who already sits somewhat paralyzed in the car, while assistants and agents pack her bags etc.. We then see the split-screens of the actual occurring events, in especially President Logan standing in his office/retreat pacing and thinking, therefore clearly inside the house. But when the scene cuts complete to Martha Logan in the car, suddenly the President turns up at the car and gets his wife out of it, to tell her he is not going to send her to the hospital. This appears only seconds of real-time later, after we saw President Logan still being inside the house. To the reach the car in this short period of time was not possible for him.

A Bona-Fied TV Classic!

This show definitely has re-written the book on intelligent and credible suspense on TV. Extremely well acted, written and directed. Truly gripping, heart-stopping suspense from one hour to the next. The show is so well done that you can easily forgive the very few plot devices that seem a little weak. When a show gets 99% of everything right, it's very hard to quibble. Keifer Sutherland has never been better as the flawed hero. "24" deserves to be a model on which all future TV suspense thrillers can be compared to. A+++
