- In this First Person Shooter, you just got to activate switches and/or shoot everything that moves. The story is simple: a US Space Colonial Marine, sent in an outer-space researches installation owned by the state-participated UAC company (looks like ALIEN's Weyland-Yutani), is the only survivor of an inter-dimensional-gates experiment which caused an invasion of creatures from hell. Fighting through various levels (and various game sequels), armed with enough weapons to blow up the entire civilized world, he must close the inter-dimension gates, stop the hellish army and prevent the catastrophe to reach the planet Earth.—Glock21 <gtendas@tiscalinet.it>
- You are Corporal William "B.J" blazkowicz, a member of the Universal Marines Corps (UMC). Recently you were penalized for striking a superior officer, after he gave orders to open fire on innocents. After a very brief trial, he gets sent on vacation to Hawaii in a body cast, and you get sent to Mars, Deimos Installation, also known as the butt end of space. On Deimos and Phobos they are currently conducting research on a now-lost civilization. They have found two 'gates,' portals that can transport from one location to another. They've been able to successfully transport inert material, but living beings who are transported tend to end up going insane and begin hurting themselves or others until they are slain. While serving your daily duties, an alarm is set and you are called into a briefing. It seems that there's been a transmission received from Phobos installation. The transmission is filled with agonizing screams in the background and the sounds of what can only be described as monsters. There is a man that can be heard clearly in the foreground, explaining the situation: Phobos is under some kind of attack, the invaders themselves have come from the portal, and they don't resemble anything from Earth. Your team is quickly assembled, and you fly over to Phobos installation. Upon arrival, your duty is set: It's up to you to watch the ship to maintain lock-down, and make sure that nothing gets on or off this rock without authorization. The team enters the installation, and everything seems quiet. After a while, however, a first sighting is made. Suddenly your radio is filled with the sounds of gunfire and screams, both human and otherwise. After what seems like hours, the comm finally goes dead. It seems that you may be the last remaining survivor. Pulling out your trusty pistol, you walk up to the door of the airlock and quickly mull over a decision. With cold indifference you push the open button, and step through into the installation. Closing the door behind you and disabling the door, you find yourself in a room that seems to have damaged by something, the lights are dim, and there are several bodies floating in a pool. You find yourself: KNEE-DEEP IN THE DEAD.
