This is an extremely simple short film made up of many tiny vignettes. They all feature clay birds inside cages. At first, there are just two sitting on a perch. As one sleeps, the other keeps changing his clay face again and again. Then, in the next scene, you see a bunch of squashed birds crammed into a cage. Then, it's a story about a lone bird that is....well I have no idea WHAT it's doing. Finally, there is one involving a bird flying in his cage. None of these scenes are long at all and frankly the total effect is only okay because you wish that each of these tiny scenes were expanded. I think sticking with only one or two would have worked better, as the stories were just too brief and seemed more like examples of the artist's work instead of an actual short film.

birds in cages

Except the term nice, it is difficult to say more about this very short animation reminding games with clay. Birds in cages, in different situations. Absurd scenes, soft forms of cruelty, a crumb of humor. And, unfortunatelly, nothing more.
