enjoy other bad movies not this one
j0graves27 May 2004
This movie was terrible. The acting was bad, the dialog was bad, the plot was bad. Normally a movie where everything is so bad, you get to laugh at it, or at least enjoy how bad it is. That's not the case with Sinners. It truly was unenjoyable.

If you're a bad movie fan, you'll probably think that's almost an invite or dare to watch this film. It's not. Don't fool yourself into thinking that this movie is so bad, you'll enjoy making fun of it. It was so uninteresting and unenjoyable that the viewer simply suffers through it.

Joey Travolta stands out as the guy who stammers out what few lines he can remember. If you're thinking of throwing a movie-night party with the theme of big-name actor's little brothers, then this movie could fit the bill.

great cover, bad movie

This movie is really, really bad. The "action" is weak if not say not existent in this movie. The "acting" is absolutely ridiculous. I bought the German DVD for 5 €.

One has to be really angry to have paid for this piece of.... It is not even that funny if you're just going to watch it to have a good time with a trash masterpiece even though the German dubbed version is quite funny as the voices sound like in an old porn flick.

BUT...there's gotta be a but. Otherwise I would have given only 1/10.

The cover of this movie is about the best one I have ever seen. Just watch the front cover. Brilliant! The back cover however is what really (and I'm not joking!) makes this movie worth buying - even for 10 €! There are rarely any movies which made me have such a good time as the text on the back cover did. I cannot possibly translate this into English without loosing some its fun.

I heard about empty covers and packages which are sold on ebay sometimes. In this case you Won't get fooled. The cover's all you need!

Merhi's Worst

This must be the worst rip off of "Goodfellas" there ever was. Apart from being visually cheap, the story is ludicrous. The film does little to hide its exploitation roots and pretends to be a serious portrait of an Italian family. Offensive to say the least. That's all I have to say about that (Forrest Gump sucked too).

Worth the 1 euro I payed for it

Warning: Spoilers
Found this insane, nonsensical gem in a DVD bin box for 1 Euro. If you pay any more more, you will probably end up in tears by the first minute.

The description on the back of the DVD box promised auto crash and explosions galore, even going so far as stating one of the characters has a hobby of blowing up cars. In the actual film, there is one explosion and one car crash. Both down horribly. So, slight disappointment there, but no big deal.

However, this is one of those "so bad it's hilarious" films. it's ridden with completely odd and nonsensical dialogues, scenes which make no sense and some of the most hilariously dumb lines i've heard in a long time.

Recommended for lovers of bad films.

*spoilers*

Notable scenes of hilarity: - An alcoholic man beats his wife to death in a bar. The bartender does nothing and the womans body is left to rot in the corner while the husband continues drinking, but when the protagonist of the film runs in to beat up the husband, the bartender suddenly "springs into action" and asks the protagonist to stop because "he's done nothing wrong."

-The sister of one the main characters goes on a suggested "date" with her cousin. Hilarity apparently ensues in this completely odd scene where the man in a series of awkward cuts consistently asks if she would like to get nearer the lake. (they start off miles away).
