I usually like Burbank Animation Studios' output, none of them are perfect but they do have their charms. But D4: The Trojan Dog possibly beats Hercules as the worst of their animations. Even with the very few I don't care all that much for, like The Little Drummer Boy and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, there were redeeming qualities, but with D4: The Trojan Dog you'd be hard-pressed to find any. I for one found the animation to be very scrappy, with some of the colours flat and the backgrounds lacking any kind of fluidity. The music is poor also, often with Burbank Animation Studios it is whimsical and rousing but here it is uncharacteristically cheesy. The writing is quite possibly the worst asset, very stilted in flow and the attempts at humour aren't just funny at all and feel out of place even. The story is predictable with an ending that you have seen many times before and feels padded, not much for children and adults really. The characters I just didn't care anything for, the cats pose no threat and the mice are incredibly irritating. Only the dogs are likable and I don't think they are used very well. There have been times like with Burbank's versions of Puss in Boots and Cinderella that the voice acting has been cheesy, but not more so than D4: The Trojan Dog, the voices of the mice especially are enough to make the ears bleed, and the cats have very clichéd voices making it overly-obvious that they're the "villains". All in all, horrible. For better Burbank Animation Studios animations watch Count of Monte Cristo, White Fang(their best looking to me) and Hansel and Gretel instead. 1/10 Bethany Cox
